i have a hard time interpreting what people find rude on this site, so i feel like i should write a post regarding that. 

disclaimer: i never, ever intend to be rude. rude as in offensive. i may be interruptive sometimes, but i would never intend to offend on purpose.

fun chinese trivia: the word “contradiction” in chinese is made up of the character for “spear” and the character for “shield” next to each other. 

this came from a proverb of a salesman who said that his spear could pierce any shield in the world, and his shield could block any blow in the world. when asked by his audience what would happen when he used his spear to pierce his shield, he was speechless.

sometimes you can come to a compromise about things, other times just prolonged contact helps, but rare cases are just a lost cause. that’s my experience w/ three of my facets that hate(d) me at least.
