THe Jane Austen Society of North America holds a "young" filmmakers competition (our organization skews a little elderly, young is a relative term...) for people under 30. Every year there aren't very many entries and most of them aren't great. I have a dear friend who is important at JASNA and every year she dreads having to judge this because the entries are so weak.

You don't have to be a member to enter the contest. Also JASNA is a really a great organization if you have an interest in Jane. The annual membership fee isn't steep and they have a student discount as well.
