Y’all. Y’all. I found some cool shiz. The following is an excerpt from an rpg I bought while I was at GenCon 50 with my girlfran. The context is that it is describing a world apart from the main world, somewhere you might visit. Inhabitants of these worlds are called Primals because their worlds are called Primal Planes, or places where people can live. Ok... “As children, Cityfolk are divided into boys and girls based on their reproductive anatomy; as much as they like to consider themselves enlightened, the primals here still seem to share that common backwater fascination“
So, I’m just skimming it, so I dunno if this was spoken of earlier in the book, but this means that gender is unassigned in the main setting until the child figures it out for them selves, and a natural part of rearing is assisting them in this process.
I know some of you look for LGBT+/PoC friendly games to play and run, and if you are, I want you to know that this game exists and that the writer is a super amazing guy who I had the luck to meet twice at the con. He signed my copy, even! The game is Sig: Manual of the Primes by Jason Pitre.
