He knows he angry cries, no matter how much he hates it. I imagine the first time he went out without a voice changer after resurrecting, his enemies mocked him. They, of course, did not live to tell the story, but it still haunts Jason to this day.
From there on out, voice changer. Not only does it disguise his -ew- emotions, but it has the other perks of concealing his identity more and adding dramatics. Who doesn't love a dramatic voice? I feel like Jason would try to monologue to the people he's fighting solely because of the fact that the voice changer makes it sound ten times more intimidating. He regularly quotes Shakespeare, not just because he likes the literature itself, but because it sounds cool. His inner theatre kid is kicking and screaming every time.
Every time his voice cracks or he sniffles here and there, he's able to pass it off as interference or his voice changer bugging out, and nobody even questions it. Nobody even knows he fights criminals with teary eyes and a snotty nose, but they don't need that information.
