Nico: No.

Okay in the End
My first attempt at Percy Jackson/Jason Grace! Bear with me!
Inspired by Not for Long by Wreck/endlessmeg
“Gotcha!” a small wave of water collapsed on top of Jason, and he shook his head like a dog, splashing water in every direction. “You know I can’t get wet, don’t you?” said Percy. Percy enjoyed playing with their powers, especially when the worst that could happen to him was a little wind blown hair.
“You say that now...” said Jason, creating a gust of wind to knock Percy down to the ground on the sand with a thump. Percy quickly sat up, making an even larger wave that Jason must have seen coming, because he quickly blew it out of his way and towards Percy. The wave hit him, but much to his delight, and still surprise after all this time, left him totally dry.
“Told ya.”
Jason got a determined look on his face, and soon the two started one of their favorite activities: friendly competition. Percy enjoyed having someone who could match him not only in weaponry combat, but also in magical ability, it was much more fun that way. Jason was a challenge. And after defeating Gods and Titans and Giants, Percy was definitely in need of a challenge.
They threw their magic back and forth; each time they were hit, they just came back stronger. By the time Leo showed up, Percy’s hair looked like he’d just walked out of an Oklahoma tornado, Jason was sopping wet, and both boys were exhausted from draining their powers like that.
“Woah.” was Leo’s first reaction when he saw the sons of Poseidon and Zeus. “I can’t tell if they’re was just a tsunami or a windstorm.” Jason and Percy shared a knowing glance.
“A little bit of both.” said Percy, not really looking at Leo, but focusing on Jason trying to dry himself with the wind. Jason noticed, and smirked.
“Like what you see?”
“Maybe.” said Percy, raising his eyebrows and being as indecisive as ever. They stood like that for a moment, each one looking slightly suggestively at the other, not exactly sure how much they were joking or not. That was, until Leo broke the silence.
“Chocolate or vanilla?” Jason and Percy broke the look in favor of looking at Leo confusedly.
“Blue!” said Percy excitedly with his answer for everything.
“What for?” asked Jason, purposely ignoring Percy’s slightly off topic answer.
“You’re wedding cake, of course!” said Leo. The other boys shared another glance, this one of perplexion.
“Uh...” said Percy.
“We’re not...” added Jason. Leo sighed exasperatedly.
“Not yet!” Percy was confused, but it was probably just another weird Leo thing, so he tried let it slide. “Well, that wasn’t wasn’t what I came to talk about!” Leo started talking to Jason about some weird fire contraption that would need his air powers to help fuel, and Percy zoned out. All he could really focus on was Jason’s hand on his knee protectively. He slipped his own hand under Jason’s arm and onto his knee.

Percy had always been a very touchy-feely person. Growing up, his Mom would always hug him, and pat him on the back, and ruffle his hair. That’s just the way that their relationship worked. So when Percy grew up, he always felt that the best way to make someone feel better was through a hug. He did it subconsciously. It was just part of who he was. When he was following the first prophecy, Grover and him had had fist bumps and horn ruffles and things of the sorts, but Grover wasn’t a big hugger. He’d made that quite clear when they first became friends.
Then there was Annabeth, and the fact that she was a girl, and at that time Percy was scared to touch her, much less hug her. Now, even though they were dating, Annabeth liked to keep the hugging to a minimum. Percy attributed it to her difficult relationship with her dad.
So by the time he met Jason, Percy was in much need for someone to hug, man hug, chest bump, whateveryouliketocallit. And Jason was the perfect friend for the job. I mean, after Percy got out of Tartarus, he was the first one to come and give him a hug.** After they’d defeated Gaea, they became really close. Percy liked having someone who could keep up with him, and he guessed Jason needed someone to keep him on his toes.

“Hey dude.” said Jason. Him and Percy were walking back to the campfire. It was the end of sunset, and only a sliver of red sun could be seen left on the horizon. The two boys were both extremely exhausted after such a long day of being awesome.
“Yeah?”
“What sauce does Tantalus put on his food?”
“I don’t know, what?”
“Tartarus sauce.” Percy burst out laughing, and put his arm around Jason.
“Better. You’re getting better.”
“You think?”
“Yeah. But don’t get big headed about it.” said Percy, and Jason gave him a playful bump with his hip.
“You’re the one with the big head.”
Percy responded with a shove. “I think you mean beautiful head.”
“Let’s not go there.” said Jason with a smile.
“Oh, don’t worry, there are quite a few places I’d be willing to go instead.” Percy responded sassily.
Jason only took a few seconds to react, playfully pulling out Percy’s feet from underneath him and tackling him down onto the grass. Percy responded with forcefully rotating them so that Jason was on the bottom and it was Percy doing the tackling, but that didn’t last long. Jason quickly flipped Percy onto his back and resumed their first position. Percy didn’t fight back this time, and took up an air of defeat. Their eyes locked for more than a moment, and Percy’s stomach did a bit of a loop de loop. He could hear the faint sounds of campers around them, but he wasn’t paying attention.
Jason broke the eye contact and stood up, brushing his jeans off before helping Percy up, and using his hand to swing him into a hug. Percy could feel the quick, masked squeeze Jason placed on his forearm, and brushed his hip inconspicuously in response. People didn’t need to know how close the boys really were. They wouldn’t understand how totally platonic their relationship was.
Percy saw Annabeth sitting in front of the fire, with Frank, Hazel, Rachel, and Piper. He made his way over to her and crept up from behind, wrapping his arms around her waist.
“I let him win.” Annabeth turned and rolled her eyes.
“I heard that, Jackson.” called Jason, from over next to Piper. Percy glanced over at him and he winked. Percy smiled.
Percy and Jason got themselves seated next to their girlfriends, but still next to each other. When Percy saw Jason slipping his hand into Piper’s, he mimicked the action with Annabeth. When she looked up and him, Percy could see the happiness in her eyes, but for a reason he couldn’t understand, mixed with a bit of sadness too.

Percy wasn’t sure how to react. But there was one thing he did know, he had to find Jason. When he ran up to the Zeus cabin, it was almost dark, and Jason was just leaving the front door.
“Percy, I was just looking for you.” he said. His voice had lost most of it’s playfulness that it had had a few nights before at the campfire.
“Yeah, well I was looking for you too.”
“Well, you found me.” Jason said with an imtryingtobehappy sort of smile.
“You won’t believe what happened.” said Percy. Jason moved to sit on the porch swing, and Percy followed, walking slowly. They sat down together, knees touching.
“Try me.” Jason looked straight ahead.
“Annabeth broke up with me.” said Percy. Jason looked at him, then back straight forward, with a bit of a smile this time.
“Really? Same thing happened with Piper.” His smile faded, and they sat in silence for a bit.
“Do you think it means something?” asked Percy.
“I don’t know.”
A few more seconds passed, and Percy had started swinging his feet back and forth on the swing, causing it to sway slightly.
“You know what would cheer us up?” said Jason.
“What?” Percy didn’t there was anything that could cheer him up at that moment.
“Hot chocolate and Nemo.” Percy perked up. He stood corrected.
“You know me so well!” Jason just laughed.

“Blue? Really?”
“Well duh.” said Percy, their sad exchange almost forgotten. They were both holding glasses stolen from the dining pavilion, filled with hot cocoa; normal coloured for Jason, blue for Percy. Jason sat down on the couch, and Percy slipped the old VCR into the player.
After they defeated Gaea, Percy had insisted on putting TV to be put up in the Poseidon Cabin as his reward for saving the world. His mom had let him take the VCR player, and the copy of his favorite movie of all time--Finding Nemo.
Jason patted the spot next to him on the couch, and Percy crawled in. Jason put his arms around him, and in return, Percy placed his head in the crook of his neck. They sat there, in the dark, cuddling and sipping hot cocoa.
When it got to the scary part with the sharks, Percy buried his head in Jason’s shirt. That part would always make him scared, ever since he was a little troublesome kid. Jason smelled like sweat and pine trees, and Percy could hear his heartbeat under his thin camp t-shirt. He felt a tingling sensation on his head, and realized Jason was stroking his hair softly.
By the time the credits rolled around, Percy was practically lying in Jason’s lap, they’re mugs now forgotten and on the floor. They laid there in silence.
“Feel better?” asked Jason.
Percy swiveled his head so he could see him. “Yeah. Definitely.” Then after a few moments, “Thanks.”
“No problem.”
When Jason kissed him, Percy had no time to think about how he was going to react. His reflexes kicked in, and he was kissing back. The kiss was at first awkward and clumsy, but turned to passionate within a matter of seconds. Then, almost as if he realized what he was doing, Jason broke away, and things got awkward again.
“It’s late, I should probably go.” he said. Percy nodded, still in a daze, and Jason quickly got up and left the cabin, leaving Percy lying on the couch, wondering what exactly had happened.

“What’s bothering you, Boss?” asked Blackjack, as Percy brushed him.
“Nothing. And don’t call me Boss.”
“Okay, Boss.” Percy sighed, and finished up his brushing by going over Blackjack’s neck one last time.
“Looks like your done! You can go fly around now. Oh, I almost forgot your--” said Percy, but Blackjack was no longer listening.
“So long, Boss!”
“--oats.” he finished, but the pegasus was already gone. Percy picked up the bucket of oats and placed it near the entrance, where he’d be sure to put it back with the rest later.
Percy liked coming to the stables when he needed some space, to cool down, or in this case, figure something out. He’d never thought of a...guy like that. But now that he thought about it, thought about Jason, it made sense. They were always flirting, and touching and whispering and the way that Jason held him made Percy feel like the earth was being lifted off his shoulders. (And he knew firsthand how that felt) With Jason, he felt warm, and happy, and in a way, sort of...right.
“Hey.” Percy saw the tall, muscular shape of the man in question appear in the stable door way, knocking him out of his thoughts.
“Oh. Hey.” Jason invited himself into the stables.
“So.” he said.
“So?”
“About the...”
“Kiss?”
“Yeah.”
“What about it?” asked Percy. His heart was thumping in his chest, but he was doing his best not to show it.
“It was...” trailed Jason. Percy’s heart picked up the pace expectantly. “It was good.” They both smiled, and the atmosphere in the room lighted massively.
“Just good? As the official ultimate kisser of the earth, I think I deserve more than good.” kidded Percy.
“You? The official ultimate kisser of the earth? I’m pretty sure you’re confusing yourself with me.” teased Jason in return.
“Yeah, I guess you’re right. I’m the official ultimate kiss of the universe, obviously.”
“You willing to put that to the test?”
“Only if you’re willing to test me.” said Percy challengingly.
Jason lunged at the other boy, gently pushed him up against the wooden walls of the stable, and planted a kiss on his lips. It was playful, full of biting lips and rubbing noses. Then Jason’s superman Roman instincts must have taken over, because he took control, pinning Percy’s hands above his head, and pressing their bodies together until there was no place without contact. Percy slipped his hand up Jason’s shirt, feeling his chest and was quite pleased with what he’d found.
Then Jason kissed him again, and there were lips and tongues and teeth and competition, each boy floundering to prove their worth to the other. Jason bit down on Percy’s lip, and without Percy’s consent, a low, gravelly moan slipped out. But before they could fully take advantage of the current situation, Percy heard the sound of a bucket falling over.
Jason quickly broke off of Percy, and the son of Poseidon’s eyes landed on Annabeth, who quickly ran away. Jason looked at Percy, startled.
“Annabeth, wait!” said Percy loudly, but she kept running. He sent Jason a regretful glance and jogged after Annabeth. As he followed her up the hill, he could hear one reassurance in his head.
Everything is going to be okay. Everything will work out, in the end.
