☕ time loops?

they're a super fun trope!! i've never really had a good idea for a time loop fic so i've never written it myself, but i think it's really really cool to read

what is ladrien rpf 👀

ladrien rpf is based on this prompt i wrote, which turned into a whole conversation on the aps discord server where we decided marinette and adrien should collaborate on a ladrien rpf comic together. i have not actually written anything for it, but it was on my list of possibilities for the ladrien zine, so i collected the conversation in a document (which is how it got included on my "touched in the last year list")

some highlights include:

adrien was the only person writing ladrien before gorizilla. afterwards a bunch on people went home and looked up "ladrien" and found his fic, which means he actually set the tropes and characterizations for ladrien fandom

HOWEVER a lot of people disagree with his characterization of adrien and think he's written him too weepy and smitten

this exception to this is marinette, who has been reading his fic since before gorizilla and still thinks he has the most accurate ladybug and adrien out there

she does have some criticism of his ladybug characterization actually

there are definitely ladrien vs ladynoir ship wars but adrien ships and writes both

anyways the end up writing a weekly comic where ladrien just go cuddle and go to farmers markets and raise their hamster

except adrien tries to keep it fresh by adding action/adventure, much to marinette's chagrin, because she does not know how to draw a grocery story in space

she also is way too embarassed to draw any of the kisses he writes

this is all via their online handles btw they have no idea who they're collabing with

🤩 What's the most meaningful comment you've ever received?

people have been very kind to me and I feel very lucky! but what comes to mind first is when @pyrusinc called one of my fics their favorite song. 😭🩷 They’re always killing me bc they’ve read that fic a bunch of times and always leave such thoughtful comments on it!!

🌷What's one of your fics that isn't as popular, but you hold dear?

i have one written one ouran fic so far but i had a lot of fun writing it and im fond of it 🫶

🦉Is there another author that helped inspire you to write?

I am inspired by a lot of authors! The author who initially inspired me to write when i was growing up unfortunately turned out to be a turd bucket so i would rather talk about some fanfic authors that inspire me 💖 @picayunearts @anna-scribbles @sha-nwa @bahbahhh @botherkupo @taliaxlatia @lollytea @revelisms @rosekasa to name a few! Your writing is also beautiful 🥺💜

my favourite moment in recent memory is the adrienette kiss tbh 🥹🥹 i’m so happy they finally got their moment!! all time, the balcony scene tho!! a classic fr, and there’s an edit of the episode that just fills me w nostalgia

Good evening, @jattendschaton! @enberlight here with your Secret Sunspot for the @mlsecretsanta 2020 Exchange. I heard you might like Ladrien?

I accidentally wrote a little ficlet snippet that goes along with this... choose your own ending ;)

She wasn’t sure exactly what had brought her here tonight, but as Adrien wove a subtle melody alongside her, fingers sliding languidly across the piano keys, she was glad she had. The tension of weeks past started melting away, the world around the piano bench disappeared, and she found herself leaning into him as her eyes drifted shut.

Lost in the comforting swell of the music, she didn’t notice the slight stutter in the improvised melody, or the way he briefly stiffened, then relaxed, as her thigh pressed against his. The notes gradually slowed, though, as her weight confined his left arm. She blinked slowly, the sense of warmth along her right side the first sensation to enter her awareness before she realized the music had stopped.  She stammered, righting herself by pressing her hand to his leg, then froze in shock at the intimate position. Her heart raced as she struggled for something to say, or a way to unfreeze herself, but he only smiled at her softly.  

“I take it you like the melody?” His voice was warm, a chuckle barely hidden in the way he spoke.

She nodded, eyes transfixed by his, by the tender light she saw there. She wasn’t sure if her heart was speeding up or slowing down, but then it stopped altogether as he lifted his hand, gently brushing his fingertips beneath her chin, his thumb resting just below her lips. He leaned in closer, his arm wrapped gently around her back, pulling her subtly to him as he tenderly held her shoulder. The comforting warmth, the weight of his care, had her relaxing into his touch.

“I’m glad,” he murmured, leaning in just a little closer, his gaze dropping down to her lips…

headcanon; adrien is actually ambidextrous (though he usually uses his right hand for things) and he trains himself to use his left hand more so that he can hold marinette's hand while they do homework together
