okay so I rewatched all the episodes of tadc because I remembered that Jax said he always had a tail in episode 5 while pomni and the others said he didn't, and then he mysteriously gained one in episode 6, and i also remembered him having a tail before episode 6, so let's see...

episode 1 he has no tail, which i mean, okay, it didn't really show where his tail would be a whole lot that episode anyway, so I didn't see anything out of it.

episode 2 was also iffy, since it didn't show his back that much, and when it did it was zoomed out like this, but no purple tail ball.

episode 3 has a clear answer at the end after Jax is disappointed that Pomni didn't hate the adventure she had with Kinger, which confused the shit out of me cause I could've swore that he had one, and I distinctly remember it in the beginning of the episode.

episode 4; first minute and a half, and he doesn't have one. again, I remembered this image very well and I always thought there was a tail there.

episode 5 its obvious, he has a whole crash-out over it

AND EPISODE 6 HE HAS A FUCKING TAIL!? like what the hell there goes consistency...

so yeah I spent many hours going through a rabbit hole, and now I have many theories about this
