I went to a concert last night!!!! The bands were great and the venue was perfect, and it was just really nice to get out and do something :D I hadn’t been to a concert in years (and not just because of covid, I just don’t go to a whole bunch), so this was a really good way to spend a Saturday night ✌

Also, the venue required masks and proof of vaccination, which definitely made me feel a lot safer, considering how small the concert area was.

I know I may sound a lil crazy, but at my columbus concert, I could have fucking s w o r n I saw jordan take the mask off once he got off stage. now this is kinda verification, given this is jay :)

Today, I am grateful for the hiatus.

I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to continue doing shows and touring while mourning the loss of a loved one.

I am glad that Tyler gets to be home with his family during this time, and that he can be there for whatever service they have. I’m glad that he’s not thousands of miles away on an European leg or Australia or wherever else, putting on a brave face for us.

Our hearts break for you and your family Tyler. Take your time, rest, and be well. We’re still here, and we always will be. And if it helps even a little bit to know that our thoughts are with you, then take solace in that.
