jay actually is autistic! it's part of the reason why he's so sensitive to light, finds it hard to socialize and understand things that are supposed to be "common knowledge". he also has depression but that's a whole different story the other reason why he acts this way is that.. he can just be a bit silly sometimes, haha. i have another boy who's on the spectrum as well and it's riley, though i feel like it's not that surprising. him and vance have that autism and adhd creature dynamic dhjdjkdfkdk.
