Hey, just discovered this blog. I've known I have adhd for a while (Impulsive/Hyperactive), and I was wondering. is it common for people with it to struggle with feelings of isolation and loneliness? I've been dealing with strong feelings of isolation and loneliness, and I'm just curious if it's tied to my ADHD or not. Like, I can make friends, but I never feel like I'm making any sort of connection with them. instead its more surface level... I just want to feel connected to someone/understood

I don’t know, but it’s something I’ve struggled with all my life, that lack of deep connection. I get so frustrated with “small talk” because it feels like we’re never really saying anything, you know? I want to talk about real things that matter!

I’ve decided that maybe “deep” relationships aren’t a thing. Maybe people who say they deeply understand each other just define “deeply” differently than I do.
