I’ve got a Listography for the purposes of being clear about what to expect from interacting with me. While it's not necessary reading, it does answer a few frequently asked questions (though the main one I will restate here is that I do not take art requests)

Art is general tagged #art, though it might be just easier to use archive view for a quick glance. I also dump things over on my Artslush blog, which covers works off old alt-accounts (granted they're all defunct now and I doubt I'll do specialist sideblogs going forward), but is less organized.

I am very picky about who I follow; I tend to avoid following blogs that do a disproportionate amount of off-topic reblogging. I like a clean dashboard.

If you don't want to hear me whining, mute/filter #dai sighs. Random nonsense/musing posts are #shut up dai.

I do not intend to push people away, but I do want people to know my stances on certain things relative to some rougher past experiences in other fandoms.

I have every dog in smalls yard curled up to sleep in spite of all the big dogs barking, which is really something.

The fact that I have "Safe Place" (the .ogg version that switches to the simplified The Window after about 7 minutes) on loop on the smalls yard speaker makes it extra funny.

I'd take this time to do chores but one of the dachshunds is melted in my lap so I can't move.

Heyaa, sorry for not being as present as I used to, it's been a really busy month with college stuff in every single angle of it.

I've also been meaning to ask for some financial help cuz my final projects have gotten unnecessarily demanding with the funding needs (film, thesis, and exhibit from scratch) A deadline for one of them is coming up in three days but the salary won't come till next week.

My family is also prioritizing my sister's expenses first, about her school stuff too so I need to manage with these on my own. We've been running low recently but not to a concerning degree, don't worry about that. It would really be appreciated to sauce me up with five dubloons or so. I promise to get back on my feet after all of this is over

If anything, this was my mistake. It took so long to finish because I wanted to use the larger surface area to try and get more out of Psalm's dark-iridescent/oil sheen.

I tried to fix my Namiki again, and did what I know I wasn't supposed to do with a 14k nib and used pliers (with padding, at least!!!), and nearly ruined it permanently. However, it was either nigh-unusable and would need replacement if I did nothing, or I'd try and fix it and have a 50/50 chance to either fix it or still need to replace it.

I was able to semi-salvage it, it's just scratchy now. This was my test page as I worked on it.

Argh, in the process of helping someone on my way home, the drink I had on me spilled into my bag and got my tablet (thankfully safe) and pooled to the corner of my sketchbook.

The part of me that is very particular about my sketchbooks reels looking at it knowing it was probably preventable if I'd been just a little more careful.

Upside is it could have been WAY worse, and I guess it has character now - a story to tell about the person I helped and how. But aaaaaaaaaaa

Wanted to try something different while inking and immediately regretted coloring this. While the lines didn't bleed, they also got completely eaten by the darker colors rather than there being a multiplicative effect.

Oh well, live and fail and learn.

I decided that if I want to get a fancy fountain pen that needs to be manually refilled, I should first start with a cheaper/simpler one, so I went to my old stationery store haunt and picked up a Pilot Metropolitan and some Monteverde Moonstone ink and decided to blob around a bit.

There's a bunch of Obvious Mistakes, but, w/e, that's the price I pay for not sketching first.
