Redesign of Dr. Lalinde for my AU. As cute as the original Archie comic design is I had three objectives: 1.) Draw her looking her age. (She’s supposed to be close to Light and Wily’s age, and in the AU they went to university together.) 2.)Try to give her more distinction to her Filipino ethnicity. (Probably not perfect, but I’m still learning how to adapt that.) 3.) Try to reference the Ruby Spears style. (I imagine her shirt has lovely designs and embroidery like Filipino fashion, but it would have made the line work complicated.) Also I would have given her glasses, but I haven’t figured out how to do that without taking away from the expressions. But I imagine she does have glasses. Maybe in another drawing I’ll have her wear them on a chain.

This is probably not big spoilers (since it’s in the AO3 tags) But here are my redesigns for Tundra Man and Skull Man if they were in the Ruby Spears show. I tried to keep the designs familiar, but simple. (The show runners made some choices about what designs could be mostly copy-pasted and which ones were adapted, but everyone had some modifications) Tundra was a lot trickier since he featured more than a decade after the show and was very flashy compared to the designs of the early games. Skull Man though, it was mostly thinking they would have leaned on the skeleton motif more in the show. (For my AU)

Also my tablet has been complaining about space so I made this on magma. Probably a lot of art will be made there until I can move a bunch of stuff off my tablet (it seems like the more I move off the less space I have left…iPads suck in this way)

This weeks’s Aggies

so today is my birthday! I wanted to do something related to that, as I spent a lot of the day with my dad so I have Lita and Jennika making a cake.🎂🎉🎁

This week’s aggies.

Probably not my best work, since I used a stylus, and my wrist and elbow cried. I finished it while having an ice pack resting on my arm.

so first one is Jennika and mutated Lita. In my fic series, Jennika is the reason why Lita specifically mutates into a turtle, so she’s an albino version of Jennika which is European pond turtle. (I actually used Jenny’s colors for the shell and desaturated them.)

second picture is Jenny and Cassandra hanging out in the Foot clan. Was originally having them masked, but it was hard to get the expressions down. It was my first time drawing Casey and I had time and pain against me, so hopefully next time will go better.

in other news, my wrist isn't broken, but I have a sling so I remember to let my arm rest..\

I keep forgetting to post the Aggie drawings, whoops!

Last week I drew Alopex. Was playing with the design and shading a bit, but still need to work on the final look when she debuts in the fanfic series.

This week, I wasn’t even sure about drawing. I could not focus on much, because my rabbit was sick. Still sick but at least got some help and meds from the vet today. I drew this when I was between feedings and trying not to cry every 10 minutes, because all the emergency vets I could get to were closed at the time.

I wonder if I should make a tag for my self insert rise fic… this is like…the second art I’ve made for it?

So I started drawing this the day I released the first chapter of “Hidden Agendas” and I realized I finally have a writer trope that isn’t child trauma: Need to move a non-human child through NYC…stick some oversized clothes on them and call it a disguise! Not the most original idea, but it’s funny I’ve used it thrice without thinking about it. I’m still learning how to utilize tools so it’s not as great as when I draw on Ibis. But I’m still having tablet issues.

Kids are gonna have feelings, and they are valid. Doesn’t mean I won’t try to redirect with open ended questions when the opportunity arises.

(This is rough, but this series might also be my “low effort art” since it’s difficult for me to have time to do any for awhile.)
