They’re getting ready to go out for the evening, an almost nightly routine at this point. Tim is in the bathroom applying make up because it’s just one of those nights and Jason’s off in the other room doing whatever it is Jason does to get ready for a night of partying.
Staring at himself in the mirror, he can feel a frown tug at his face as he examines the reflection. There’s a noticeable difference from when he looked in the mirror a month ago, he can see the way his face has thinned. It’s nothing that make up can’t fix but regardless, Tim doesn’t like it. Sliding the tube of dark red lipstick twice over his bottom lips, he pulled back and pressed his lips together to smear the lipstick.
“Jay?” He’s staring at himself more intently now, insecurities rising in his chest. It’s evident he’s using, or maybe it isn’t and that’s just his paranoia speaking, he can’t tell at this point. “Am I still pretty?”
Tim finds himself fearing the answer and he wonders if maybe he should just leave this behind. Sober up, go back to school and take on the company that would have been left for him. He’s still living off his parents money, he’s thankful for that but also feels guilt over it, at least for now. They weren’t there for the majority of his life and at times, Tim believes that his parents owe him this. He figures it’s the only reason he hasn’t been cut off yet.
It’s one of those nights where he wants to leave this life behind, it was fun when it first started out but it was starting to loose it’s glamour. He hadn’t mentioned this to Jason yet and frankly, he was a little scared too.
