Penelope Martha Wayne's something of a mystery. 22 years ago, Penelope graced the papers for the first time. 10 years ago, she left the Wayne household to study abroad. She didn't make another appearance until 8 years later. Now, she's in college, majoring in business in hopes of joining her father's business. Thomas Robinson lived a normal life with his adopted mother after his mother died in childbirth. He went to school 5 days a week and helped out at animal shelters on the weekend. Then, his adopted mother died, leaving him a note that told him the truth of his parents: Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne
so college has me swamped which means I’m downsizing the amount of blogs I’m currently running! so I’m archiving this blog and moving Penelope and Thomas to a multimuse blog! You can find all my babies @soulsearchiings with several other muses! Hope to see you there!

He faced the boy who sat across to him, suppressing a small smile. ❛ No, I haven’t saw her yet, but now that you’ve warned me, I’ll do my best not to get too close to her these days. I don’t want to annoy her more than usual. ❜ And Logan knows that if they see each other by accident, she’ll get annoyed with him somehow, so he prefers to avoid all that. ❛ She needs a vacation, don’t you think ?? ❜
“I’m with you there, but the last time I suggested that she went to Croatia and took out a human trafficking ring.” Sometimes it sucked being the only sane person in your family. “Now I’m not saying she didn’t do a good job, but that’s also not what I meant by a vacation.” Now, until he could figure out a better way to get her to relax, he was just letting her moods run their course at a safe distance.
She suppressed a laugh, without looking away from him. ❛ I’m not doubting your self-defense skills. ❜ Of course she knows he has some knowledge of these techniques after all, she’s sure that his father would not let him leave without knowing how to defend himself. And she also knows that he can use this for a little training with her. ❛ But you don’t want to learn anything new ?? Come on. I need a training partner, and you’re here !! I promise I’ll take it easy with you, what do you say ?? ❜
“You misunderstand me: I want you to doubt my self-defense skills.” Tommy protested, obviously not a fan of her current thought process. Unfortunately for him, it was next to impossible to talk Scar out of anything she set her mind on, even if that thing was beating up Tommy. “Fine, fine. As long as you keep your hands off my face. I can’t be the pretty one if you break my nose or give me a black eye. And also no weapons: I’m shit at them so it’s only fair.”
Maggie couldn’t believe it little Tommy was growing up to fast. Maggie also couldn’t believe it had been a year. A year since leaving National City, a year since she and Alex broke up. It had been a long year. The best part being she now had the love of her life Kate and her daughter Jamie most of the time. She was still working on it becoming permanent. She didn't quite agree with Kate’s no kidnapping her policy.
“I know you need to come over one night I will cook a homemade dinner for you. Kate’s treating me very well we have Jamie most of the time. As for news, I don’t know if your dad told you but Thanksgiving is out our house this year. Any news with you? I can’t believe how big you have gotten. Don’t tell Kate but I’m slowly trying to send her subtle hints that I want to expand our family. Sorry if that’s too much info.” Maggie finished a bright content smile crossing her face.
“That sounds absolutely wonderful.” Living on his own, he didn’t usually get homecooked meals unless he went to Wayne Manor and Alfred happened to be in a generous mood. Though he could cook decently enough, he rarely chose to actually use that skill and instead took the lazy route by ordering take out. And Penny? Well, she inherited the unfortunate gene that all Waynes ( minus Tommy ) and adopted Wayne possessed: the inability to cook or actually function in a kitchen due to the presence of an all-powerful butler. Honestly, none of them would be able to survive one day without Alfred, as pitiful as it sounded.
“I haven’t seen Jamie in a while.” Tommy mused, “But I’m glad you’re spending more time with her. And no, he did not.” Unsurprisingly, might he add. Bruce was notorious for forgetting to mention anything, even if it was important, that wasn’t related to his night job. He chuckled, running his hand through his hair. “Well, say what you will, but I definitely inherited my dad’s height.” He shrugged. “And my lips are sealed, but just note that I’m rooting for you. Penny and I are tired of being the babies of the family.”
Viva had to take a noticeable breath as she nodded in relief. “Thank you. That’s very reassuring.” she said softly, taking the smallest of moments to close her eyes, so much so that it looked like a mere blink. “No, I’ve been trying to locate who could have leaked it though, but everyone else is just clueless to it. I’m sure we could take a look at some security footage or something to find out though quite easily.”
“I have no idea. I had, well I thought I had, it under very tight security. No one could have entered that but myself and the team that were all working on it. This could either be a simple mistake by one of the newer people on the team…or there could be a very serious underlying threat that no one could have seen coming. “Not that I can think of…wait…Anderson did come to me asking for information on it. He’s not in my division though, so I didn’t think it very appropriate to tell him anything about the device. And it’s strange that he would come to me now that I think of it…we barely have any interaction. I think the only other time we’ve spoken was when we accidentally bumped into each other on my first day…and to be honest, he was rather a prick about it. I don’t tend to really give out information so readily to people that I consider to be pricks.”
“We thought of that, but unfortunately someone scrubbed the footage.” It was an embarrassment, really, that someone had managed to get through their defenses and leave behind such little trace. They needed to take care of it quickly before word got out. “We have someone working on it right now, but there’s only so much we can do.” Barbara may be a genius when it comes to computers, but she wasn’t a miracle worker and they needed a backup plan.
“Anderson...” She mused, her fingers tapping on the table tensely. The behavior she spoke about was definitely enough to seem suspicious - she’d have to look into that. It was entirely possible that the man had gotten a better offer from another company or figured he would strike off on his own. Worse- he was batting for one of the major players in Gotham’s underworld. “I’ll talk to him about this, see what I can find out. I assure you, this breach will not go unpunished.” Penny informed her promptly, hoping that this new information could help them fix this in no time. “We’ll try and keep you in the loop regarding this matter. Until then...you’ve been a big help - thank you.”
Jason can’t contain the laughter that escapes his lips. ❛ Of course we’re friends !! ❜ They may not be best friends yet, but they certainly not just know each other. So yes, he considers her a good friend. He still has a fun smile on the corner of his lip as he looks at her. ❛ It’s because it’s not that simple, Penny. ❜ He shrugs. ❛ First, because I don’t go there myself that much. And second, because the Amazons don’t particularly like outsiders. But — I can see what I can do to realize this dream ❜
“Oh.” She pouted a little bit at first. She should’ve known he didn’t spend much time on the island. And yeah, she knew Amazons didn’t like outsiders, but she was also willing to overlook that for now. That was a problem for later. “I just feel like I need to let you know that you’d probably be my best friend if you could work something like that. Even just for like...an hour training session, you know?”
“Scar, I know like...basic self-defense; it’s enough to keep me safe when walking down the street at night or until help arrives.” And even then, he only knew that much because Holly and now Bruce had both been overprotective parental figures that wouldn’t let him go outside the house otherwise. “But that doesn’t mean I’m anywhere near qualified to spar with you. I’d probably die.”
He didn’t need this, he did not need her snippy attitude, and he was just about to say so when his better conscience stopped him. He did try to help her, true, but seeing the effect his efforts had on her, Peter realized that he was far from allowed to snap back at her for what he caused. So, with a deep breath, he said, “Duly noted.”
Defensiveness still has him tensed, though, so he crossed his arms and wandered along the entrapment’s walls, gazing up and analyzing the electrical grids proving to be a great means of distraction. “So… Any clue how to get out of here, Miss?”
“Penelope. And no, not yet...” She murmured, glancing around. After a few steadying breaths, she was confident in her ability to observe their situation with a rational mind and catalog all the possible points of interest. There was a computer terminal set up around 10 meters away from their entrapment, a box on the wall that could either be electrical or a thermostat, and three security cameras monitoring their movements from all angles.
If she knew who was responsible for their imprisonment, she’d have a better idea of how to escape. As of now, she only had possibilities that could end in escape or complete failure.
Viva had to compose herself, mentally taking a deep breath. She was almost sure that she was proving herself to be a Grade A case for Arkham by now, and she was doing her best not to be that way if she could help it, which clearly she could not. “Yes, I’m sorry. Hello. I’m Viva Spriggs, but of course you know that.”
Those words ‘regarding your future employment’ had all but sobered Viva as she looked on at the woman in front of her. “Oh yes, that’s completely understandable. I…I haven’t done anything…wrong, have I? Because I was not responsible for that device going out earlier than expected, I took it right off the line as soon as I got word of it because it was still in its testing phases.” she said the last part a bit quickly. Lovely job, Viva, keep showing your craziness why don’t you?
“Oh no, you aren’t getting fired.” Penelope assured, hoping to calm the woman that seemed a tad nervous. Although that seemed to be the general attitude of her employees when they were talking with her. “As long as you aren’t the one responsible for the leak, we shouldn’t have any problems in that regard.”
“We’re actually investigating the leak right now, and we were wondering if you knew of any ways it could’ve gotten out before it was officially released?” It was generally uncommon, given that Wayne Enterprises was so impressive in security and cybersecurity, and it was terribly damaging to their reputation if they allowed this to stand any longer than they already had. “Any employee or competitor that expressed interest in the product?”
Viva looked upon the other in shock. She couldn’t believe her ears, she heard that wrong. There was some way that she had heard that wrong.
“I’m sorry…what was that you said?” she asked breathlessly. Her eyes were widened and she was sure she looked as if she was utterly mad, but she couldn’t help it. If she was right in what she heard, that would be life-changing news for her. Everything would be different.
The woman seemed a little...what’s a nicer word for crazy? Well, it was more along the lines of completely and utterly frazzled. “My name is Penelope Wayne.” She repeated herself, slower this time.
“My father requested I meet with you regarding your future employment at Wayne Enterprises? He would have come himself, but he’s currently spearheading a new program overseas...” Or rather, beating up assassins and leaving his children to manage his company once more. “It simply couldn’t be helped. I hope you understand.”
“Maggie! Haven’t seen you in a while!” It had to have been last Thanksgiving at least, but then again that isn’t surprising. Kate and Bruce didn’t necessarily go out of their way to hold family gatherings. “Kate treating you well? Any news I’ve missed out on?”
