As always with Spring, I’m finally getting back into things, even if slowly. Here are the preparations for a ritual from last week, involving a spirit who appeared to me over the winter.

As always with Spring, I’m finally getting back into things, even if slowly. Here are the preparations for a ritual from last week, involving a spirit who appeared to me over the winter.
Used the good old Celtic Cross spread for the first time in a long while, and damn is it insightful. I think this will really help me work through my current irritation and identity-fracture issue.
Being able to read the connections between cards really does make all the difference 😅. Can’t believe it’s been three years since I’ve used it.
Also, this was maybe my most successful application of pouring my own energy/the energy of the situation into a digital deck, which has been a lot harder for me than physical ones.
Lots and lots of plans between today and tomorrow, and I feel like sharing.
Tonight, as late as I can afford, I’ve got full moon shit, which’ll consist of:
a divination session, using the tarot spread I use every full moon to help orient myself in the cycle and make use of it’s energies.
offerings and libations in honor of our moon, seeing as i intend to invoke this celestial body frequently in upcoming ritual work, and to hopefully help mediate any negative effects of the eclipse
Trance-work with the recently-revealed-to-me serpent seal of descent but mediated by Virgo, with the intent to receive guidance and instruction on specific spiritual routine and ritual undertakings.

Then there’s tomorrow, which I have set aside to honor one of my longest spiritual allies, deific in nature.
Gonna read her mythology, partake in fresh fruit and music, walk along the river and admire all the wakings of spring, set out offerings to her and her family, and finally commune and work ritual with her.
Equinox Plans Sorted!
Finally got everything that’ll be happening/is planned for this weekend (which I celebrate with my own made up holiday—Ambris Day) settled into some sort of schedule and I’m very excited.
Saturday Lineup
Cleansing and blessing of the home—I’ll do some low-effort cleaning and get the place ready for company (celebrating good company and appreciating the people in your life is very important to me during this equinox).
Me and the partner will be hosting a movie night with some good friends. While normally I’d do Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, our friends have yet to see Kpop Demon Hunters or Sinners and we’re determined to remedy that
Sunday Lineup
Sunday will be spent pretty quietly for the most part. It’s for mindfully appreciating the life that I have found myself in. I’ll also have to continue essay-writing :/
Sunday evening we will be making the magic soup! Around half the ingredients should absorb and cast out any current lingering misfortune or poor luck, and ward against any incoming during the season. The other half are meant to draw in good fortune, stability and prosperity.
Monday Lineup
While my partner is on campus for the day and what with it being the actual equinox, this is the day I’ll be doing most of my more spiritual plans
I’ll be doing some divining to see what I want to focus on cultivating Craft-wise this season. I’ll also be checking in on various spirit relations, most likely through both divination and spirit flight if I’m able.
Think I’m gonna do some planetary libations this week, nothing massive. Just a little something to get re-accustomed now that I actually have space and time to work.
Offering of blessed waters was made to the Moon yesterday, so might as well continue.
So I used to have a really formatted and procedural way of recording my tarot readings, and I’ve noticed a trend where I very much just did not want to go through all that.
At first I was pretty frustrated by this—I like having detailed records after all, why am I getting stuck?
Then I realized it was actually because I’ve progressed.
I don’t need to compile all the key words or quote parts of card descriptions that stand out to me before I can decipher meaning anymore, and I haven’t in a long time! Doing all this was unnecessary and exhausting, and led me to procrastinate actually writing and interpreting readings at all.
I’ve stopped digging through all that junk just to fill out my record format, and in looking at all I was able to cut out, I was able to see just how much I’ve improved.
Seeing the relationships between cards, analyzing readings as wholes and not piece by piece, actually intuiting what cards mean within situational context—This had all become second nature, and I completely missed it!
I’m glad I’ve gotten the chance now to really appreciate the progress I’ve made, and that recording readings will be much simpler from here on out 😅
Missing this altar set up a lot right now. Unfortunately I had to move a lot of it into my trunk last semester, when I first took in a rescue kitten (who is now my baby boy). I wouldn’t do anything differently of course, I love him so much.
Will be rearranging my room soon though, so I will have actual access to the secondary desk’s drawers. Hoping to use one of them as a pull-out style altar space.
Getting sick just as finals start is the worst. Hopefully I’ll actually be able to get something done today (I kinda have to, one of the exams is actually due tonight).
Small libations and prayers to my Lady Sovereign and perhaps some use of the balm-like venusian vision I was granted those few weeks ago are in order I think. Maybe saying as much will help me remember to actually -do- as much, and pay attention to the results.
