Here's another Breath of the Wild drawing, this time Link is in his Barbarian armor. This one's a lot more playful than the Snowquill Armor one I drew. I think it came out pretty nice. The Barbarian Armor is pretty complicated so I hope I drew it ok. It's hard to tell from screen shots exactly how it should look, haha. Hope you enjoy that Lynel in the background. :)
I would say I spend about 90% of my time in BoTW in the Sheika Armor because I like sneaking around. :) But the Barbarian Armor is probably my second most used outfit. It's pretty useful but also super cute. I may have a print of this at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo in October. See you there?

Hi everyone! I want to tell you about my sci-fi comic magazine Combine. Combine is published about 5 times a year, and each issue features new chapters of Ghost Kiss (by me), Devil Spy (by Jaymz Bernard) and Shutter Valley record by Micah Berkoff. So three cool ongoing sci-fi comics in each issue!
Issue 4 will also feature the first chapter of Zoe Coughlin's science fiction comic The Last Cowboy! I came across The Last Cowboy a few months ago by accident and immediately fell in love with it's thoughtful story, clean art and complex characters. It's a great fit for Combine, and we're super excited that Zoe has joined our project and will be serializing the Last Cowboy in each issue of our magazine! You can check out Zoe's Patreon page here!
Starting with issue #4 Combine is also getting bigger! Combine was already a large format full color comic magazine printed on quality paper, but from now on each issue of Combine will be an 80+ page square bound volume with thicker cover stock. We want to produce the very best sci-fi comic magazine that we can and we think this new format will be much cooler!
You can subscribe to Combine at our Patreon page. Digital Subscriptions are just $5/issue, and physical subscriptions are $14/issue (shipping included). You can purchase back issues of Combine here.
I made a new comic about working on Combine, my new sci-fi anthology project Jaymz Bernard and Micah Berkoff. (you can find a larger version of the strip here)

A full length printed graphic novel of my long running series Willem, the story of a robot who wants to be a superhero!
Hi Tumblr! I’d like you to back this Kickstarter. Why? Jaymz Bernard’s Willem is a fantastic, fun superhero soap opera comic. Jaymz has been working on it for years, starting and stopping as life and other projects interrupted her work. After years of hard work improving her art and storytelling skills she’s finally completed enough pages to publish the first wolume of her comic. The Kickstarter is about 2/3 of the way funded with about 8 days to go. She can make it, but she needs your help.
Why should you help?
- Do you love funny comics? Willem is pretty funny! It’s also a little sexy, a little melodramatic, a little sad, fairly action packed and VERY engaging!
- Do you like robots, super heroes or teen drama? Willem is all of that in one package! It’s like Degrassi with superpowers!
- Do you love comics by women? Jaymz is a woman! I always hear people saying that they want to see more women creating comics and read more comics by women. And I totally agree! So help her out!
- Do you like chubby dudes? Jaymz draws pretty good chubby dudes, if that’s your thing. Her previous book Split Screen is all about a chubby guy falling in love.
How do you help?
- Go to Kickstarter and pledge! The full color 150+ page book is a $25 pledge. It’s signed and comes with a set of stickers. A digital version of teh book is available for just $15, and $5 will get you stickers. Even small pledges help! Here’s the link!
- Can’t afford to pledge? Please help spread the word! Reblog this post. tell your friends/followers/fans/favorite artists about the project and encourage them to pledge! Boost the signal!
But I don’t trust Kickstarter!
- Trust Jaymz! This is her second Kickstarter. She completed and fulfilled her first Kickstarter (for her comic Split Screen) so fast that most people were super surprised when their books showed up in the mail earlier than expected.
– Hey everyone. Today my friend Jaymz is providing us with a filler comic, both so I can work on something else (more Ghost Kiss. For real!) and so she can promote the Kickstarter for her comic Willem. Jaymz has helped me out with several filler strips in the past, most especially while I was recovering at the beginning of last year. I enjoy her comics a lot and I think you will too. Please check her Kickstarter! Okay, here’s Jaymz:
Hello everyone! My name is Jaymz and I’m currently running a Kickstarter to make a book of my long running comic series Willem. I want so badly to make this book a reality but I need everyone’s help to do it! Willem the robot wants to be a superhero, but the Hero Academy doesn’t allow robots! So he flies to the moon to find a long lost superhero named Moonshadow in the hopes of becoming his sidekick, but the same day, all of the heroes at the Hero Academy mysteriously disappear! Now it’s up to Willem and his friends; Lady Marmalade, Wallflower, Lightspeed Lad, Moonshadow and his robot cat RAGS to find the missing heroes. If you love blue haired robots and cute robot cats then this is the series for you!
Willem has been a long running project of mine and I really need to get the book out into the world. This will be my second graphic novel, the first was my romance series Split Screen which is now finished. I need another book to bring to conventions and I’m so hoping you can help me make that happen!
The book will be 150+ pages long and full color. I’m cleaning up the old pages to make them more uniform with the newer ones, I’m adding 8 chapter title pages with brand new art, there will be sketches, fun facts and Q&A in the back of the book! Each book will come with a bookplate and signature and a set of 5 Willem stickers. I’m also offering great rewards like book sketches, prints, tee shirts and a plush RAGS! Please check out the campaign, back the project and spread the word! Thank you so much! I so hope this project gets funded and I need everyone’s help to make it happen!
