WHEN YOU ARE LEFT FOR DEAD!

I’m reminded of one of the most known Biblical Parables ever uttered; that is the story of the “Good Samaritan”. We have based certain laws upon this account and we’ve even written books about it, but what was Jesus REALLY trying to teach us in this story? In order to understand such we must start at the beginning (NOTE: this story can be found verbatim in Luke 10:29-37). The story opens with Jesus telling us “a certain man went from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves”. This is so indicative of many. Many in life have fell among proverbial thieves and they have been wounded, and their possession have been taken. You may have been sexually abused, your innocence stolen or you may have gotten into a bad relationship that went “south” and now your left wounded. Some have been betrayed and battered by the ones whom they trusted and they have been robbed of their dignity. MANY ARE WOUNDED & HAVE IN ESSENCE BEEN LEFT FOR DEAD!

Jesus goes on to tell us Religion passed by i.e. the priest & the levite and did nothing to help. But a Samaritan, one who was seen culturally inferior, passed by and had compassion on this man. You have been left for dead, but I as the Good Samaritan, am telling you there is nothing to hard for God. There is no pain he can’t elevate, no wound he cannot bind, no fear he cannot quench, and no hurt he cannot ease. My prayer is that though you have fell among thieves and they have stolen your raiment and wounded you that you see Jesus through me! HE LOVES YOU!
