Basic Relationships
He and his brother, JayStalk, were very close until WoodlandRot started finding more excuses to head over to SunClan. JayStalk followed him one day, and found GoldWhisker and WoodlandRot grooming each other and even talking of running away. When he confronted WoodlandRot on patrol the next day, he accused WoodlandRot of favouring GoldWhisker over him. JayStalk settled down after WoodlandRot explained that they were just joking about running away, and that he would never leave Jay. Life went on as usual, and JayStalk even covered for WoodlandRot so he could see his mate more often. The brothers got in a fight on patrol during a storm, and WoodlandRot wanted to try hunting on the wet cliffs. JayStalk was scared, but eventually followed his brother, but he slipped, paws skidding off the cliffs and he cried out to WoodlandRot who was farther ahead of him. He rolled his eyes telling him not to be dramatic about the rain, and when JayStalk cried out again he turned back and hesitated, shocked, before leaping to try and hold Jay up by the scruff. Holding up all of JayStalk’s weight, his jaws loosened while trying to pull him back into the rock and JayStalk fell. He hit the rocks hard, but was still barely alive. WoodlandRot was so shocked by this that he cowered against the rock and passed out, terrified he had killed his brother with his recklessness. The next morning, Jaystalk was dead, having bled out. WoodlandRot regrets climbing up the dangerous rocks to hunt and for not going down to try and get the injured JayStalk back to camp.
WoodlandPaw got along well with another apprentice who he would meet at gatherings and message runs. Over many seasons, they became very close friends and later mates. GoldWhisker was an amazing warrior, and didn’t have as much time for WoodlandRot when she became deputy of Sunclan. GoldWhisker didn’t want WoodlandRot to have to hide their relationship forever, and always be a second priority. They broke up on good terms, and when they see each other and are still close, but stick to seeing eachother naturally at messenger runs, patrols, and gatherings rather than sneaking out.
WoodlandRot was very close to all three of his apprentices, especially PaleFur. Even after her warrior ceremony they continues to be incredibly close, even having many cats mistake her for his daughter.
Facts:
he doesn’t realize how stealthy he is, tending to accidentally scare clanmates by appearing behind them
Believes he’s going to the dark forest
He doesn’t tire easily, and will keep working until clanmates force him into his nest.
The queens enjoy teasing him about being a giant, but most of the time he’s asked to look after kits. There have been multiple times where he’s given out patrols while having small kits tucked into his fur. He has even left camp on patrol before realized a kit was sleeping on his back.
As a messenger, he was taken by the farm twoleg briefly after getting trapped in a wire trap. In his attempt to free himself, he cut his leg and the twoleg took him back to the barn for a moon. He was given what the Kittypets call a “harness” and tied to the deck one afternoon so he could get some fresh air. He chewed through the leash and got back to his clan safely, but he still has the harness.
The local loners and kittypets will play fight him every time he’s nearby the barn.
Thank you for reading this far! If you have any questions feel free to send an ask. Im sorry if some of it seems a bit choppy at times, i haven't made a proper profile in a long time.
