DUDE JAYVYN IS MY FAVORITE OFC I REMEMBER HIM TEEHEE! Also is he like,,,able to talk? 😭

(straight up CRIES A LITTLE) WELL... THANK U.... He can!! He just keeps it to short sentences, single words, etc and prefers nonverbal communication-- if he communicates at all, lmao. He'll also just straight up ignore people when addressed cause he doesn't feel like acknowledging them. I imagine his voice is like... scratchy, not quite gravelly because it wasn't necessarily deep before being affected, it's like when you're coming out of a cold and your throat's all raw.

THX FOR THE JAYVYN LORE HEEEHEHE I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION ABT HIM IF THATS OK! How's like..his general attitude towards the average person? Is he mean?

It’s ALWAYS okay I love questions about anyone at any time and it tickles me so much that you liked and remembered him 🥺❤️

Honestly like… the fact he’s being used as a tool has evened him out a lot. Part of it is the fact it’s taken the edge off of that hunger I mentioned and part of it is the fact he’s surrounded by people who are both not scared of him and also strong enough to kick his ass (though that’s also not Hard to do, tbqh). I like to refer to him as a dog getting leashed :)

So like, I’d say if an average rando met him, presumably not as A Target, yeah he’s mean. His default state is almost sulking because he’s being dragged along everywhere he goes by people who are Also Mean and he’s just the bottom rung, but he’s not constantly aggro anymore. He’ll stare you down like a piece of meat but even if he’s hungry enough to Want to lunge he’s waiting for permission to bite, and when he’s not allowed he gets especially cranky about being interacted with. Even if an average person was brave enough to try and talk to him, he doesn’t really *like* speaking anymore, it’s somewhere between him spending so long on his own (and already being sort of a loner to begin with) that it’s Effort to now and also it probably Feels Weird with the way his body’s broken now. He’ll just hunch up and growl until you change your mind about approaching him, lmao.

HIII so so so what made Jayvyn start eating souls?

Power :) He worked/works for an organization that collects souls (that part isn't my lore and i haven't been familiarized with it for a while so I couldn't give a very accurate retelling of the why or how) as a Glalie when he was.... normal? (Alive? is he technically dead? questionable.) and of course he was aware that like. he's holding someone's raw essence. So what would happen if he just.... took it? Just one. Nobody would notice. But of course, you know, that's not something anyone should Do, as A Being, so when it worked it VERY quickly fucked him up. It struck him like an addiction, and his desperation for more lead to him not extracting them Cleanly anymore. Now he was just straight up Eating Bodies to get to the soul inside. So, someone had to take him down.

I don't think I ever had a solid face to whodunnit. Could have been his organization, could have been outsiders because of course he'd been recognized as a public threat that needed to be handled, and there are hero types everywhere- regardless, when they got to him, the hunger had essentially permanently put him in a state of mega evolution in this monstrous mutation.

they didn't manage to kill him- but they did manage to Break him. His own spirit was basically fractured on impact when they freed all the ones he'd consumed, leaving his body in this extremely volatile state; lucky for him, his comeuppance came with a free complementary Keystone so they plugged that into him to stabilize him, anchor him to this plane and also try to imprison him. The last part didn't work. Now he's empty, that all-encompassing hunger worse than ever because it's not about More, it's about being whole again. But hey, his old job scooped him back up again, and now he makes a GREAT cooler for the souls other people collect! (Sometimes he gets borrowed for Body Disposal by a couple of freaks too. It's fine)
