Msamaria project

  The Msamaria Center for Street Children -  مشروع مركز أطفال مساماريا 

About The Center: 

In Moshi, one of “Tanzania” provinces, where poverty and disease are spread, where homeless children are abandoned for hunger in an environment filled with desperation.

Hope was born with The Msamaria Center for Street children which was established in 2007, to provide a decent life for those who most deserve it. The Center accepts orphans and homeless children and takes care of them until they become eighteen years old. It does not only protect them, but it also helps children grow, mind, body and spirit, despite of the limited potentials and the lack of external financing.

The Project

After Yasser’s visit to Msamaria Center for Street Children in 2014 and estimating its situation, and after hearing “You are the first Muslim to ever visit the center” from its principle, he was determined to share the center’s message through an integrated support program.

He started by designing a multilingual website which connects the center with the world (msamariakids.org) and helps to share its message.Then he founded a voluntary team coming from multiple nationalities and with one goal. The team members work under the name of: Msamaria’s Arab Volunteer Group. The team was formed by inviting those who are interested in utilizing their skills and abilities in a voluntary environment. Additionally, the team was divided into different departments specializing in different areas.

The team made many contributions to support Msamaria Center, some contributions have been achieved, other are ongoing such as: Translating the content of the Website into many global languages, Sharing Msamaria Center’s message through social media and connecting the Center with Arab public. It also designed and produced some visual materials such as pictures and videos for marketing purposes. It then produced a children’s book, which its profit goes to the center. In addition to acquiring support and sponsorship for the center, and searching for financial resources. It also planned for a field trip to The Msamaria Center for Street Children in Moshi, Tanzania that included technical, professional training courses and handcraft courses. The trip also included establishing a Gift Shop which provides profits to the center, and producing a song which reflects the message of the center. 

عن المركز :

في "موشي" إحدى مقاطعات تنزانيا، و التي يسودها الفقر و تتفشى فيها الأوبئة، و يشرد فيها الأطفال متروكين للجوع و الجهل، و في بيئةٍ يغشاها اليأس.ولد الأمل متمثلًا بمركز مساماريا لأطفال الشوارع  - The Msamaria Centre for Street Children ، فقد أنشئ المركز في عام 2007م، ليوفر لمن هم الأحق بالحياة جميع سبلها.

يستقبل المركز الأطفال من أيتام و مشردين و يرعاهم حتى يبلغوا الثامنة عشر من عمرهم و هو لا يشكل لهؤلاء الأطفال سقف حماية فحسب، إنما هو مصدر للأمان و للغذاء الجسدي و العقلي، و ذلك بالرغم من محدودية إمكاناته و كثرة احتياجاته في مقابل عدم وجود أي تمويل خارجي له. بل إن فكرة تشجيع الآخرين –السكان المحليين خاصة- على التطوع عوضًا عن انتظار المبادرات الخارجية، باعتبار هؤلاء الأطفال إخوتهم و أقرباؤهم، هي الدافع الرئيس وراء تأسيس المركز.

المشروع : 

بعد زيارة المركز في 2014 و الوقوف على حالته، و سماعه لهذه الكلمات من مدير المركز: “أنت أول مسلم يزورنا”، لم يكن من أ. ياسر –مؤسس المشروع و الجمعية- إلّا أن عزم على إيصال رسالة المركز عن طريقٍ برنامج دعمٍ متكاملٍ له.

البدء كان بـتصميم موقعٍ إلكتروني متعدد اللغات يصل المركز بالعالمmsamariakids.org و يساهم في نشر رسالته.

و من ثم بـتأسيس فريقٍ تطوعي متعدد الانتماءات أوحد الهدف، تحت اسم: فريق مساماريا العربي التطوعي. تم تأسيسه من خلال دعوة المهتمين و المهتمات للانضمام للفريق و تطويع المهارات و القدرات التي يملكونها في إنجاحه. و من بعد تقسيم هذا الفريق لأقسام متعددة المجالات.

بعد ذلك عمل الفريق بمختلف أقسامه على العديد من الإسهامات لدعم المركز بعضها تم إنجازه و البعض الآخر ما زال قيد الإنجاز، منها: ترجمة محتوى الموقع الإلكتروني بلغاتٍ متعددة و عالمية. بعد ذلك نشر رسالة المركز عبر قنوات التواصل الاجتماعي، ووصل المركز بالجمهور العربي. كما قام الفريق بـتصميم و إنتاج عددٍ من المواد البصرية من صور و فيديو لخدمة المركز تسويقيًا . ثم إنتاج عمل قصصي للأطفال يذهب ريع بيعه للمركز. بالإضافة إلى التواصل مع جهات الدعم و الرعاية ، و إقامة الشراكات التي من شأنها توفير الموارد المالية للمركز. هذا عدا التخطيط لرحلة ميدانية  للمركز، تشمل العديد من الإسهامات منها: إقامة دورات  تدريبية مهنية و حرفية و فنية لأطفال المركز، و تأسيس متجرهدايا يدر بالأرباح المادية على المركز، وإنتاج عمل غنائي يقدم روح المركز.
