JAZZ DESTROYERS LIVE AT JBS 1981 CS - Dave E of the electric eels in his later band playing a 50 minute set complete with insane jazz instrumentals and Ramones covers. ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL LISTENING.

RADICAL LEFT - BG SUCKS. Toledo hardcore punk from 1982. Best known for their appearance on the Meathouse comp RADICAL LEFT played insane hardcore on par with their counterparts like THE FIX and NECROS however lacking a record their obscurity remains. This tape contains their incredible BG SUCKS CS.

HUMAN SUFFERAGE - both LPs CS

HUMAN SUFFERAGE is a Columbus hardcore punk band that played USHC as good as the rest of them. Bass player for the CRUCIFUCKS (and alleged fill in guy for essentially everyone on early touch and go) sang for this band and did a hell of a job. This tape collects their two hard to find and hard to afford LPs.

JOHNNY AND THE DICKS - PERFORM VISUAL SONGS LIVE IN CONCERT VHS

A vhs of electric eels’ John Morton led visual art RNR band featuring would be members of BUSH TETRAS. This vhs contains a 14 minute live set. A portion of this money will go to john mortons indie go go to sue Canada or whatever he’s trying to do.

JAZZ DESTROYERS

Jazz Destroyers played at JB’s in Kent, Ohio on September 4, 1981. 

The Jazz Destroyers were:

Dave E - vocals, clarinet

Mike Zerbe - guitar

Jim Ellis - bass

Dean Pappalardo - drums

Hi guys, I'm Mark, and I recorded the Jazz Destroyers at JB's back in1981. I was in a band called Skin Sensation. It was our gig on September 4, 1981 at JBs and we had this band called the Jazz Destroyers as our opening act.  I used to record our gigs a lot, and happened to record the Jazz Destroyers set too...all through the soundboard onto a cassette deck. I think they even borrowed my "synare" electronic drum, since I can hear it crash every now and then on the recording.

So I've had this primo recording of the now legendary Jazz Destroyers, and have been enjoying it exclusively for almost 35 years. I figured I'd better share it soon before lots of the people who know about them are...well you know...

I have a few other recordings by (unknown) Cleveland acts like: En Masse, Moderation, Mike Day and lots of Skin Sensation, from Cleveland-Akron area places like The Lakefront,Switchboard, JBs, Flipside, The Bank, Tucky's, and Henessey's. All the recordings are (relatively) good quality. But I think the Jazz Destroyers recording is the best of the lot.

I'm so glad to see everyone is enjoying this great recording.

The only known and edited song from The Jazz Destroyers. A band featuring Dave E. McManus from The Electric Eels and James Ellis from X_X. The track is on the "Cleveland Confidential" compilation.
