A solo mandolin arrangement of Django’s Douce Ambiance. Hope you dig!
This week's cover is a tune called Javier by Riner Scivally. It's a contrafact of the often played Softly, as in a Morning Sunrise.
Riner is an incredible guitarist that both Bryan and I have had the pleasure of studying with.
And this week on guitar we have Bryan Dedlow who stopped by my place this week. I'm incredibly happy to have him play on a tune. We played together frequently years ago and it's always a treat to hear him play.
Hope you guys dig!

It's been a while since I worked on bop lines, and I have been wanting to play this song since I heard it on a Don Stiernberg record. It has been performed by George Harrison, Frank Sinatra, Cab Calloway, Diana Krall, you name it.
This is a personal favorite of mine - Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by Harold Arlen. It's sort of a rhythm changes tune, but the B section just changes keys rather than the typical cycle.
Anyway I hope you enjoy this solo mandolin arrangement.

WAIT FOR IT. Brad is an amazing guitarist and friend that I played a couple shows with when he was living in the states. Now he's living it up as a professional guitarist in Paris and was kind enough to drop in this week.
Anywho, I hope you dig this arrangement of Gangplank Galleon from Donkey Kong country.

An acoustic cover of Julian Lage's arrangement of Nocturne, originally recorded in 1933 by Spike Hughes.
I have been listening to this song since the single was released on Arclight, and I couldn't resist playing it. I hope you enjoy!

An acoustic cover of "October" a duet written by Ben Wendel for himself and Gilad Hekselman. The song was featured on Ben Wendel's album "The Seasons."
Ben and Gilad are both huge influences of mine and I have been listening to this song on repeat for months. I can't say enough about either of their playing.

For our 103rd weekly recording, I invited my good friend and amazing guitarist Anthony Ambroso over to play a little blues. I hope you guys enjoy!
