Summer Time Blues was inspired by Nina Simone songs, summer time, and romance. “Summer time and the living is easy” inspired Summer Time Blues. It’s not so easy to let go of summer vacations and summer time loves. I wanted my creation to express the nostalgic feeling of another Summer gone and memories left as postcards and photos. The color blue and wavy lines resonates throughout like ripples of water. https://www.saatchiart.com/art/Painting-Summer-Time-Blues/435293/3152800/view @belcolozzi #art #saatchiartist #saatchiart #artlovers #summertime #jazzinspired #acrylicpainting #blue #mood #artistlife #artistoninstagram #artoninstagram (at Oro Valley, Arizona)
Nina was inspired by one of my favorite singers Nina Simone. I was listening to Jazz, Nina, Ella, and Louis and loving the cool rhythm of Jazz while drawing Nina. Music is a big part of what fuels my creations. https://www.saatchiart.com/art/Drawing-Nina-Limited-edition-print-1-of-5/435293/2799405/view @belcolozzi #popart #art #illustration #limitededition #1of3 #musicinspired #jazzinspired #blue #artlovers #graphicdesign #design #styleyourlife #artistoninstagram #artoninstagram (at Oro Valley, Arizona)
“ I tried the hard way when I tried to get you,
you took the soft way when you said, "We'll see"
Darling, now I let you do it the hard way
Now that you want me”

1944 HITS ARCHIVE: It Could Happen To You - Jo Stafford
I was listening to an interview with the legendary, long-lived, jazz guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli (on the show "Jazz Inspired"). He remarked that too few vocalists actually stick to the melody these days. Who did it well? He said Jo Stafford was the best at honoring the melody...So here is some melodic romance from Jo Stafford.
