Friday, August 3rd - Jazz N Soul Music First Friday at Ella's featuring a night of smooth and funky jazz, featuring Jazz Munkee! Prepare to hear smooth jazz blended with classic and neo soul anchored by Paul Little on Drums, Felix Anthony on Guitar, and Michael Carter on Bass!

They really take it to another level. Producing moments when musicians and audience are one, feeding off the energy of each other. Don’t miss being part of this fun.

Plus enjoy all of this in one of Charlotte's best venues for jazz, Ella’s Speakeasy.  Ella’s in the lower level of the Morehead Tavern, 300 E. Morehead St, Charlotte, NC.  The location is right in the historic south end of Uptown.  Next door to the Carson St, LYNX light rail stop.  There is valet parking on site for this event.   

Come early for the best seating.  Also, enjoy great food or drinks. Relax early on the patio and afterwards in the Upstairs bar.

Join the JazzNSoul Music Family for our First Friday event on April 1, 2016. The show will feature The Jazz Munkee! Prepare to hear smooth jazz blended with classic and neo soul with Paul Little on Drums, Felix Anthony on Guitar, Andre Cook on Sax, Michael Carter on Bass, and Tee-Doe on the Keys!

 It will be happening at The Tavern on East Morehead in beautiful Uptown Charlotte!   Come early for the best seating.  Enjoy drinks and dinner.

Let's Munkee around

The last few weeks have seen some of the best music in Jazz N Soul. We had latin jazz with Los Leones, then hit you wilth Playtime Jazz doing the smooth and straight ahead sounds.  This was followed by the unique and powerful blues of Pat "Mother Blues" Cohen. Then we blended a little neo-soul jazz at you with the Anything Goes and the vocal styling of Kyran.  Now normally that would be tough to top.  But, we brought in Jazz Munkee to really take it to another level. They produced an outstanding sound prompting the audience to engage in those moments when musicians and audience are one, feeding off the energy of each other. The band played the first set like it was their last. This moved a musician in the crowd to bring out his trombone to get in this jam during the 2nd session.  Finally,at end of the night the crowd gave an standing ovation and received an encore performance. Whew, that was some show!!! So if you missed any of these shows, well shame on you. Don't fret were back with more on Friday, April 4.

March 21 - The Jazz Munkee

Jazz N Soul Music is back on March 21 with the the Jazz Munkee band.  They are known for a solid sound of straight ahead jazz, smooth jazz and R&B.   Its another group you don't want to miss. 

Jazz N Soul Music concert series is the 1st & 3rd Friday of each month.  We highlight the best musicians of jazz, soul, R&B and blues music in the Charlotte area.
