A wonderful early mathcore project with rough production, yet filled with passion, heart, and care. Sampling scenes from Donnie Darko across the entire album, with one track exclusively being dedicated to Donnie Darko (lol.) Full of messages that are seemingly close the bands heart - “ The Marlboro Man is a douche bag.” Being a track that is exclusively about people who smoke and how they suck ass for smoking. Though that’s not necessarily what makes this album so great. There’s amazing instrumentation with sections that allow listeners to breathe, yet still thrive in how unrelenting some songs can be. Filled with jazz influences and shrill vocal performances, and fast tempos. It’s a wonderful listen from to back, and it’s incredibly fun to listen to. It’s a relic of the era it came out in, in a beautiful way.
