hey guys! i’m so sorry i went full on no contact with you. i don’t want to go into details but a lot of things have been happening in my life and i haven’t had any time for tumblr. i also felt really guilty about not being able to deliver my 1k special fics in a timely manner and that kept me away longer.

i don’t plan on posting or writing anything more after this due to me settling into the drastic changes in my life, but i’ll still be here lurking and reading fics. this also means i don’t plan on finishing the wednesday shapeshifter series or finishing the 1k special. i am very sorry.

that said, thank you for such a wonderful time on this app. you’ve been so kind to me and i’ve loved reading your reblogs in bed and kicking my feet when you like and comment my fics. i’m very thankful for the happiness you’ve given me :)

OH MY GODD??? night shift genuinely might be my favorite fic i've ever read 🫶

first, the humor in this story is just absolutely amazing. there's so many good references to media without making them sound forced. the dialogue also helps a lot!! you can tell these guys are actually friends and not strangers that have just been shoved together. your humor is always top tier and it balances out the heavier topics in the story so well!!

speaking of heavier topics, i feel like you always hit when writing the heavy parts of a fic. especially the scene with Sam when R tells her about what happened with Tara after she left. god the entire story with Tara cherishing all of her food and eating something she hates actually made me tear up a little. i just wanted to hold her in my arms 😭

and don't get me started on how much i love the dynamic between characters. R and Tara's friendship is actually so beautiful and you can tell they care so much about each other. their banter is actually so funny and i was smiling every time they were together :))

not to mention the dynamic between R and Sam!! i love how you built up their relationship bit by bit, and it was so natural when they became girlfriends. i love how you write recalling old memories and how you can tell R and Sam get closer to each other every time

My fics aren’t complete without references to media, it’s just the way it is. Most of the dialogue is based off of conversations I’ve had with my friends 😭 the heavier topics are my favorite ones to write, so I’m glad that the humorous dialogue helped balanced it out

I’m not gonna lie, I spent a couple days planning out how to write the scene about R telling Sam about how Tara was treated. I wanted it to be impactful but also relativity close to what I think Tara’s home life was like. And Tara just needs someone who will hold her and occasionally let her commit crimes 🤷🏻‍♀️

Tara and R are always best friends who love to make fun of each other, it’s always going to be seen in my stories with Sam

Slow burns are absolutely my favorite, and I feel like they fit Sam’s character perfectly. Your analysis of the fic is amazing and I absolutely love every aspect of it!!! <3

For the anon asking about lessons grades, in my experience the grades have been based on consistency. Each week do I show up to my lesson prepared, can my teacher hear the practice time I put in, am I engaged in the lesson each week, do I take as many performance opportunities as possible. Things like that.

That’s how my school was, as well. Thank you!

Your chromatic chord notecards are awesome!! I do have one suggestion, though. you used the term flattened, it really should be lowered because that can get sticky. Take B major, which contains a G#, you would need a G Natural but the term flattened could confuse someone to think Gb. Just a friendly tip from another classical music nerd:)

THAT is a good point!  Lowered/down a semitone etc would definitely be more specific.  It’s probably a bit late for these cards as the reblogs have flown, but if (??) I do something like this again (?? maybe??) I will bear that in mind!
