Executive Chef and Owner Joseph Cuccia is a new and rising chef. At the age of 8 years old Joseph knew he wanted to be a chef. He started his culinary career at the age of 14 working in a small local catering company. During his high school career Joseph asked his principal for permission to attend culinary school at 16 years old. By the time he was 18 Joseph was working for Drew Nieporent at Mia House in Tribeca.
Joseph and Jenna Cuccia opened Joseph Cuccia Catering Inc. in 2012; specializing in private dining, chef’s tables, and large gala catering.
In February 2015, Joseph and Jenna Cuccia open 17 Summer Restaurant, a Modern European Restaurant focusing on hyper-seasonal ingredients and made from scratch cooking. 17 Summer Restaurant has been awarded 3.5 stars by the Bergen Record, and voted best new restaurant in the tri-state area by OpenTable, and voted number one restaurant on TripAdvisor. Executive Chef Joseph Cuccia is the youngest chef to receive these accolades at only 27 years old.
