I have no clue what jack is gonna do for jbm's vid, but I kinda hope he remakes his costume so it isn't just a solid red jumpsuit with a mask.

I hope I’m not too late for @basket-full-of-septics' Septicart event, but I tried to make a little something for the 3rd day 1st week - JBM & Great Strenght. ...Writing counts as “art”, right?

Jackie never pushed himself too far, he always tried to stay careful while heroing. Even with that, he would end up in the ER for many more times than he'd like to admit, so he never really felt the need to test how strong he was or to look for his limits. He simply wanted to be responsible, because he knew what would happen if he weren't.

Yet one day, a simple patrol turned into hell as a huge traffic accident happened right in front of him. He helped the injured people leave their vehicles and was just leaving to let the paramedics do their job, when one of the cars exploded. How could he miss a leak of gasoline?!

One of the other cars was sent flying into the air by the explosion... And it was going straight at the watching citizens. Jackie's instinct kicked in and replaced his common sense as he made the quick decision to jump between them and the flying object. He squeezed his eyes shut as he braced himself for the hit, hoping to at least lessen the impact the car would have while hitting the crowd.

He felt the car hit him as he did his best to slow it down. He felt his legs slightly give in and he stumbled back in an attempt to keep his balance. He gripped the car tightly and just waited for his back to crush into the citizen. But it... Never happened? He hesitantly opened one of his eyes only to see that the car was still there, he just... stopped it. Even better, he caught it! He was still holding it up!

Well, it was pretty heavy and he was tired, so he had to set it down soon, but he did it! It never even crossed his mind that he had so much strength! And so, he chuckled proudly as he leaned against it to catch his breath. The saved people were obviously grateful and most of them were cheering while some were even brave enough to come over and ask if he was okay and, after that, for high-fives and autographs. And Jackie couldn't be happier then! Because he realized that he was capable of far more than he gave himself credit for so far.

@basket-full-of-septics‘s Septicart event, Week 1, Day 4 - JBM & “Forever Partners”... I suppose I took an “interesting” approach?

Jackie couldn't believe this! After so many won fights, so many defeated bad guys, that's how he ended up? Caught by a bunch of rookie thieves with some silly guns and crowbars? But yet, there he was, surrounded and beaten up already.

"Oh Gosh, imagine how famous we will be!" one of his enemies excitedly whispered to the other one.

"Yeah! Everyone will fear us!" the other one whispered back.

"We will rule this city!" yet another one joined in on this friendly chat.

And as more people joined in, Jackie was left almost unattended. They made one of the most stupid mistakes they could, they underestimated him and let their guards down. He just had to pick the right moment, and... swiftly, he broke the poor excuse of a restrain they were using on him, got back up and started to fight again. Just a moment later, most of the thieves were either unconscious or far away, still running. And Jackie already assumed he was victorious once again, when suddenly...

"Freeze! Don't come any closer!" came a voice from behind. And he did, in fact, freeze before eventually turning around to see probably the last enemy with their loaded gun pointed at him. "I will shoot you, don't test me..." they threatened.

"Wait, let's talk this out..." the hero offered, slightly raising his hands. The thief apparently saw that as a serious threat, since it was all it took for them to pull the trigger.

Jackie closed his eyes as he expected to get shot, but the bullet missed. Not only by an inch or two, just as the thief was trying to shoot him, something must've hit them and point the gun in an entirely different direction. And after the first shot failed, it was suddenly gone from their hand. Not wasting a second, Jackie knocked the last enemy out before standing up and starting to look around to see who came to rescue. But there was no one there.

"Uh... hello?" he called out looking around. And suddenly, something bumped into his neck with a familiar squeal. His confused expression quickly turned into a grin as he turned to face his friend. "Sam!" he cheered. "Where were you, buddy? It's been months!" he exclaimed, reaching to pet them.

Sam finally stopped rubbing against the hero and floated away, visibly excited. A couple more squeals came from them as they excitedly made circles around Jackie. Maybe they were looking him over to check for injuries, or maybe it was just their way of saying that they were 'here and there'. Either way, Jackie chuckled in amusement.

"I'm happy to see you too!" he smiled only for his friend to rub against him again. A sigh escaped his lips as memories of his first missions hit him. It was almost like a Deja Vu, Sam would always have to step in and save the rookie hero. "Thanks for the yet another rescue, partner. Wanna go home? Others probably missed you too," he offered.

Sam was happy about the idea, so after Jackie called the cops on the passed out thieves, they both headed back. It was late at night, so no one would even question why was a random guy walking down the street with a flying, green eyeball following him. And so they just walked, both happy about their little reunion.
