Bonjour! So. Critiques. While I'll admit I usually only read the threads I myself am involved in, I'm in near-constant awe of the way you write Fou. It's very true not only to him but to the time period, which is mind bending to me! I guess if I were to suggest strengthening anything, it would be inserting humor that isn't all necessarily at Fou's expense--but really, I'm not entirely sure that's something you need to do so much as something you CAN do if you want things to work on. :)

Thank you so much! I never really imagined there was a sense of setting to the way I wrote but hey, good to know it’s actually appropriate! And ahh, I know, I definitely have a habit of getting self-effacing in the narration. I think that’s something I internalized after reading Fforde and Pratchett almost exclusively. Duly noted!
