he hears the tinkle of marie approaching, the clicking of high heels on light steps, and salieri opens his mouth to greet her (as is polite)! he barely gets a syllable out before she hops and neatly silences him with a mouthful of bread. “hweh?”

where did this come from! eh, bread? jam? y-yes... ehm, it’s marie, so... where’d his thoughts go? ah, that’s right. (he’s been blankly chewing on the bread this whole time that took him to load.) he takes the part of the bread that isn’t shoved completely into his mouth in hand so he can swallow what he’s got.

she’s right, though, it is very good jam. “thank you, miss marie.”

jumps on him from behind with a big hug !! there's no special reason, she's just happy to see him !! all smiles from marie~

Suddenly stumbles forward!!! He isn’t sure what just happened, but he realizes that the Queen is hugging him, therefore he attempts to turn around (easier said than done at this point with how big that hug is). 

“Your Majesty-! I can’t see you from this angle...”

     The Caster had leaned down a little to make things easier for the Queen. And a short laugh leaves the composer soon after hearing Maria’s question. Wolfgang quietly places his hands on top of hers and gently pulls them from his face, though doesn’t let go so fast. Instead, he takes a step back, gently pulling Maria with him as if pulling her onto the dance-floor. Well, Chaldea’s hallways certainly weren’t the most appropriate ballroom and they aren’t dressed for the occasion, but, at least, the lack of music, he can fix that easily enough!

     “Of course I have been behaving, Maria. When have I been anything but a gentleman?”

     DEPENDING on his answer, it was a matter of life or death and he truly couldn’t bring himself to upset her. Well, not that he loathed or anything — god no but it was more so the fear of what she could do to him was what led him to often avoid answers she would find distasteful.

     COME on, even Richard was a threat to her ? It was as if she didn’t want the whole world to be near him. ❛ Uh, not really ? I think we’re at a pretty reasonable distance but please, you don’t have to do that. Nothing’s going to happen between us, even if we do become friends ! ❜
