A 23-block stretch of Fifth Avenue becomes a car-free promenade when ten of the city’s most prestigious art institutions—including the Guggenheim, the Met and the Museum of the City of New York—open their doors to the public free of charge for three hours.
The Big Apple BBQ - (June 13th and June 14th)

The 13th annual Big Apple Barbecue Block Party, Danny Meyer’s homage to smoked meat, will pop up in Madison Square Park. This year's event is set to feature 17 of America's top pitmasters, including Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q's Chris Lilly, Hometown Bar-B-Que's Billy Durney, and the Woodshed Smokehouse's Tim Love, who is also a partner.
While the event is free to attend, the VIP area requires pre-purchased tickets to access.
