If you made anything prior to this reveal, be it fanfiction or artwork or whatever, I encourage you to keep it up. Y’all have worked really hard on it, and even if those things are ruined now, what they meant to you back then (and even now) isn’t gone just because of what will be revealed soon.

If you’re working on fanwork currently (like I am) and have been working on it before the reveal, I encourage you to complete it. You can tag it as “Made before the reveal” or “canon divergence” if it makes you more comfortable. Whatever you do with your work, at the end, is up to you.

If you feel like you need to take time off the internet, do so. This is a sensitive time for many. Your feelings matter, even if you think they’re ridiculous, and you should give yourself space to process them. Mourn if you have to.
