I am watching Venom and I LOVE Doctor Skirth. I hope she survives.... who’s the actress?

it’s not really clear to me why Venom is so much less....murderous. even against people who are enemies

and he gives Eddie so much freedom, when the other Symbiote seems simply to control their bodies entirely

AND he’s emotionally intelligent: apologise to your ex Eddie! you might not get another chance!

lol are they making the argument that these symbiotes are all as diversely empathetic as humans and Venom enjoys hanging out with his hosts? even though he’s come to eat everybody?

why is venom in a woman’s body....so fuckin shittily rail thin. why did she kiss him to - are they implying that venom wanted to kiss eddie (edit: they are implying this basically)

Venom is a loser. hahahaha. that’s the reason he wants to save earth. or rather,  ‘you [changed my mind about destroying the earth], you did Eddie’ aww he fell in love

Venom is not as murderous because he literallly just CAN’T form blades?

one ridiculous point in this fight: why the fuck does Annie stop the sound when she can see whats going on

this actor sells the whole damn movie (oh right, tom hardy). though annie does a good job too. actually all the actors were pretty damn good

The eaters of light

so like, watching series 10, i’m surprised we only got to: hey the TARDIS translates for me, in episode 10, but

Twelve SERIOUSLY talks down to people - it’s very nasty sometimes -

I just want Thirteen to do the same? we had a LITTLE bit of that when she got very annoyed in It Takes You Away - and that episode rocketed up my list

Coming from Twelve it’s genuinely kind of shit what he does - kinda unwarranted and infantilising (even though they’re only trying to point out that these are kids)

but i definitely want Thirteen to do this more. please. also mostly BECAUSE she’s a woman, now

anyway i think this episode is kinda uh shitty. and i thought that when i started it and then quit it. it’s still fun. i like the costuming. i like the concept a bit.

but it’s all kinda uh awkward, though the characters are instantly sympathetic

but i do love the theme of ‘running isn’t cowardice, it’s being afraid, and fear isn’t wrong, it can save you, it doesn’t need to make you cruel, in fact, it can help you not be cruel, because it binds you together’

great theme

twelve is like the epitome of tough love. breaks you down and up again...bit like a commander huh....the oldest in the room. some nice echoes there

can i just say - great diversity in the eppie, love that historical accuracy

‘it feeds on light’ but it also kills people...for some reason? turns your bones to mush. for some reason? (edit: because ‘it takes the ‘light’ the chemical effect that light has on human bodies, out of you lol)

do love that idea of a pict fighting for 70 years in time dilation. uh but questions: the doctor was inside for 2 seconds, which translated to 2 days. in other words. 1 year is 365 days is then 365 seconds, which is 6 minutes thereabouts. which means that the pict would have to fight it 60 minutes to allow the next generation to send in somebody else. but we’ve seen these creatures swallow a human in less than a minute. and the pict wouldn’t be able to kill it? do they just close the cairn and let the creature starve? but theres time dilation and then why even send somebody in? and if they both die where are the bodies? why did the Doctor not get eaten when the portal opened due to dawn light? Why didn’t they close up the cairn to the portal after that first one escaped? another one almost came through! why was there light in the light-eater dimension? anyway moving on

can i just say the special effects of this creature are as bad as series 2 lol

ok some questions are answered...the pict is supposed to shine concentrated light on it to hold it and then kill it? ok but now they sent it back into the void, arguably the picts could have also done that? so it EATS light, but then it also cannot stand the light? what? i need to read the wiki on this. ok so i just missed a lot of information because im not a native speaker and no subs alright alright. and the people actually go INTO the portal to fight it...because then it can’t go through. alright...

so reconstructing....a pict goes in just as the dawn hits the wall, because they’ve opened the cairn to let one of em out to let up the pressure. then this pict drives the beast back with help from the sunlight with one of the light poisoners, immediately. and jumps in after within the portal, to keep it from coming back - to fight it and they fight it in its own domain for a whole hour....why? you could just keep sending it back with your fuckin light poisoner, and open the cairn a couple of times an age - and send it back immediately, and keep sending it back until the sun goes down? this makes zero sense.

i do love these brave kids though. and how they fade - exceptional drama

and that solved it we done. lol? isn’t it a problem that the cairn fell down?? didn’t the portal need to let off steam? (how the hell are they suddenly fighting ‘forever’ with music? i thought their lifespans were too short??)

but damn that is cool though with the crows and Kar. Kar was a great character honestly.

but lets be real Missy and Twelve? ELECTRIC
