it’s interesting how constructed ‘woman’ and ‘man’ are, so clearly from this. “you must(n’t) be like a woman”, “I never knew how to be a girl”, meaning being not overbearing, pleasing to men, elegant, taking small steps and possessing a certain posture, expressing oneself through certain arts i.e. flower arrangement, putting on a performance of weakness - as a wife, being caring and nourishing and obedient and submissive. none of that comes naturally, it is something that is learned and taught.
