This collection of gifs is from this year's JDRF UK interview of James Norton by Dr. Partha Kar. They also did one last year. James was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was 22 and has been living with it ever since (he turns 35 this year). There's no audio here, just a whimsical ukele accompaniment. Gosh, his face really lights up when he laughs. ❤️

One word: surreal. Dinner cooked by two Michelin chefs Jason Atherton & Tom Kerridge, cameo roles from my two favourite actors Jeremy Irvine & James Norton, all topped off with an incredible performance by Jack Savoretti & his superstar band, all of whom gave up their time after a few begging emails from me. To have played a part in putting together something so special fills me with such pride. And not forgetting the best photographer I know Chris Floyd who captured the whole thing so perfectly. "

JDRF exists to find a cure for type 1 diabetes, an indiscriminate and devastating lifelong autoimmune condition which can strike at any time, even in babies just a few weeks old. For reasons we don’t yet fully understand, the immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. There is nothing anyone can do to prevent type 1 diabetes and there is currently no cure. There are around 400,000 people in the UK living with type 1 diabetes - 29,000 of whom are children. I am taking part in the 400,000 step challenge to help raise funds for JDRF. JDRF funds research to treat, prevent and cure the condition and also provide information and support for all those affected. Thank you for taking the time to visit and donate to my page. Together we are one step closer to creating a world without type 1 diabetes.

So I wouldn’t usually share something like this on here, but it might just make a difference.. 

I'm a little late to the party (about 17 days late!) but since I log my steps every day anyway I'm going to be able to make up the difference before the 40 days finish on the 11th June; I'm taking part in the 40 day step challenge for JDRF UK with the aim to complete at least 400,000 (one for each person living with T1) and every donation, no matter how little will make a huge difference so please, if you can donate and if you can't donate then feel free to share 💙
