Sideroad, oil on canvas, 15 x 30 cm's I often find that towards the end of a day's painting, it is quite satisfying to put away what you are working on, and start a new small piece. It's a relatively easy exercise as all your paints and easel are there and set up, and you are well and truly wormed up and in the groove. In this case, I decided to have a shot at the panorama to the left of my subject for the day, and put this little canvas together quite quickly...going with the flow!

ok so i need to reiterate that it is NOT healthy at the start. THAT BEING SAID

jean is kind of a new guy to santa clara. to california in general. he's also already a vampire so david did not sire him. but david knows he's new in town and a loner.

also like the idea of jean having an overnight job at a gas station or convenience store. not exactly on the boardwalk but not super far from it. adding on to this, i like thinking with like the disappearances and stuff, the owner or whatever can't really find anyone willing to take this shift and he like immediately hired jean on, not missing the chance teehee.

david and jean meet and jean doesn't really pay him any attention. he's heard of the gangs around the boardwalk and also just doesn't give a shit. he can't get fired so if he gets to beat the shit out of a gangster well he will.

but he doesn't wind up doing that. at first, david shows up with the other Boys. he gets the read that jean is also a vampire. every other night maybe, only david shows up. again, jean doesn't pay him any mind. david hasn't done anything and if anything is just annoying

anyway that's why i am thinking for a start... :)

I will say at first I shipped them because it would be funny and Jean would fucking hate David but then I really started to get into it and yes it fell into the dog motif but I fucking LOVED the idea of Jean being David's dog.
