Regarding the birth of christ, it is most likely that Jesus was born in the Spring or Autumn. The Gospel of Luke presents the “Shepherds in the Field" Problem - that they were out in the fields at night with their flocks at the time of his birth. Typically flocks were brought down to lower elevations from November to March. In the hills of Judea, December is the rainy season and can be quite cold, sometimes even snowing. There is no mention of a Dec 25th birth in the bible.
