Yesterday I had the immense joy and privilege of volunteering with JediOKC at the annual District Attorney’s Christmas Party, an invite-only Christmas extravaganza for hundreds of children who have recently experienced trauma. It was such an incredible event filled with all sorts of wonderful little interactions such as this one — this little girl couldn’t wait to tell Darth Vader and Princess Leia all about the Christmas gift she’d picked out after meeting Santa! Many hugs were given, photos were taken, books, gifts, and candy were distributed, dance parties were held, little Jedi were knighted, and joy was spread in abundance. It was such an honor to be a part of bringing some holiday magic to these precious little ones and their families. 

This is why I cosplay: so I can fight in my own way against the evil of this world and bring joy to those who need it. ❤️

I learned how to work with EVA foam tonight and got to play around with it!
