album opinion after 2 listens last night & having gotten a couple of hours of sleep since:

overall like it. probably top half but not top 3.

feels like another midnights sitch where the aesthetic and build up doesnt match what the album actually was. i know that she said something like how it was about her life while on the eras tour/a peak behind the curtain so i knew that it wasnt going to be flashy, but the two still don't quite meet imo.

last night i liked wood but i think it was more me trying to talk myself into liking it just became it's a track 9. (track 9s tend to be my fave from her.) going into it i knew that there was a 99% chance that it was going to be like that, but i was hoping for that 1% change that it was going to be "im in the woods/i dont feel like a real person/etc."

What is the PS scene or episode that you still think about to this day? For me it's the scene in s1e5 where Malcolm is higher than a kite & it turns into a horror movie....1000/10 no notes, tom payne should get more horror roles

omg I think Q&A sticks with me the most...everything about that episode is so iconic and I remember watching it live and everyone freaking out. also it differed from the shows typical procedural format which I think really elevated the writing. but I also agree with yours! season one you will always be famous.

Back in my hardcore Criminal Minds days i looked up what was required to join the BAU because LUL why not, & w/ the amount of requirements that are needed to become a profiler at Quantico Malcolm has to be in his 30s by the time PS started. Like realistically theres no way he was only 8 when he called the cops on Martin. But this is a show & real life requirements mean nothing lol

I mean realistically it seems unlikely Malcolm could be a profiler for a variety of reasons sksnsjnqaq (sorry babe love u) but yeah I agree, I think him being 11 at the time and 32 currently and 22ish when he graduated college makes the most sense...the only thing that said he was 8 was the like in show podcast the shows social media posts which I assume is trying to be canon but maybe it’s a joke abt how podcasters don’t know how to fact check.
