the reason jack manifold is the best lgbt ally is simply because he is not afraid of gay people. and i mean literally, because most cishet content creators are too scared to say anything about gay or trans ppl, while jack manifold literally does not think twice, because he knows there’s nothing offensive to be said by him.

Gay!” manifold. jack “is top surgery boobs on or off” manifold. jack “ladies and enbies” manifold. jack “gays, i know theres a lot of you here” manifold. jack “cheers lesbians, you guys pretty pog too” manifold legitimately sees lgbt ppl as no different. and while people would say it’s the bare minimum, most cc’s treat talking about gay things like it’s some risqué and cancel-able topic and very much avoid it, while the chad jack manifold does not care at all. and this is why the jack manifold grind never stops

i think it’s time we start calling “cancel culture” on twitter simply “misinformation” because that’s what it is. people will bend over backwards, take things out of context and ignore apologies, just to hate on someone. it’s so common on stan twitter to call people out on things that aren’t rlly a big deal, just because twitter loves oppression olympics. the more one can claim that they are part of oppressed groups, the more they can “call out” and speak on things. that gives them a power that many others don’t, so they can speak freely on certain things, and scare anyone by accusing them of bigotry if they even think slightly differently. that’s what created that “twitter hivemind”, that inability for twitter to handle other people’s views, and i know this is true because i used to be like that.

to show a cc saying something out of context, something that sounds bad out of context, is misinformation. to show a cc saying something bad without ever mentioning that they apologized / educated themselves at one point, is misinformation. bringing up slightly shitty things a cc did a very long time ago without recognizing that they are definitely a better person now, is misinformation.

when you do these things, you’re not “holding ccs accountable”, you’re just misinforming people. you’re looking for a way to feel powerful, to feel better than ccs / other people by analyzing them, seeing what flaws they have that you don’t. what power you have to make them look bad. it’s incredibly disturbing.
