ok so funny story i dont actually know where i put my first desc of her. BUT HERES THE VERY FIRST BELTEX VERSUS MOST RECENT BELTEX. reigned them in and made them just a little bit more nadja-fied and distinguished. consistent crying madonna makeup and v bangs are a must now.

BUT. her original backstory was very simple because self reflection is hard and cringe and she was basically like "actually i straight up didn't know this was legit demons until last week, i thought this was a larping artist residency and yall were just REALLY into it" w strong familial witch blood to [NEW CRINGE LORE SUMMARY UNDER CUT]

OKAY SO BASICALLY this bitch grew up in a really small, tight knit community based around a fringe christian denomination, less IF YOU DO DRUGS YOU WILL GO TO HELL BEFORE YOU DIE and more Jesus Loves You 😊(threat) toxic positivity and like............those essential oil crystal ladies. As a corrective measure for baby Tex's violent tendencies and generally abrasive nature, she was thrust into key roles in the congregation to keep her out of trouble and under constant watch. Everything she does always feels wrong and bad, even if it's not outright criticized. Eventually left in a death-faking display of dramatics involving another set of twins, but, like, lets not worry about that.

You know how it goes, rejected kid builds a huge uncrackable wall and does their best to put the best "good kid" face forward, focusing on their marketable attributes, academic and artistic achievement, while avoiding actual social connection etc etc etc. They're treated better, get awards accolades but nothing feels like anything. Nothing feels like it actually matters, and there's always anger.

Tex manages to work through it on her own in university, find balance between aggression and professionalism, and carve out a niche with people that love her for her, but it is all..........horrifically finite, and she has a breakdown about it in a gender neutral bathroom during a party near the end of senior year. A very pretty brunette gives a very stoned Beltex an application for a very special exchange program, which she promptly uses as a tissue and fills out. and then is fucking dropkicked down to the devildom like a solid 6 months later.
