Kiara was in the kitchen, standing, though with the help of Tera, and getting "Ice Cream" for everyone, with her scooping it out of the tub and Tera providing the bowl so that the process was smooth. A hand on her back to support the weight her legs couldn't.
And then... she drops a scoop. It bounces off the table and splats onto the ground, sending black, frozen cream everywhere.
"Oop-" Tera's feet shuffle out of the way. "Oh no!"
And... Kiara just. Stares for a moment.
"Ah, well, least we still have enough for... Babe? You alright?"
And She starts to bawl her eyes out, venting becoming hard, fear twisting up inside her like an ever coiling viper, trembling and holding back the urge to sob witch only created knives that cut into the inside of her throat.
Tera thinks she's in pain, she's not even thinking about the small mess that was made, she immediately grabs her hand. "Are you okay?!"
"I-I'm Sorry! I didn't- I didn't mean to!"
"Kiara! It's fine, it's just ice cream!"
It doesn't matter. She's already hearing her father's screaming from across the room and it's so loud, so grating and he's walking towards her, stumbling and-
Tera grabs and holds her. Setting Kiara's head on her shoulder, lifting her up and raking her fingers down her back. Swaying them both gently.
"Shhhh... shhhh, It's just me, just me." Tera trills softly. Beginning to breathe slowly. "Vent along with me hun."
Kiara hesitates for a moment before her vents slow along to time itself with Tera's breathing. Inhale... hold... exhale.
"There we go... keep going, just focus on me. I'm right here." Her tail wraps around the worker loosely. "Your fuck ass code donor isn't here. Just me." She murmurs. Which produces a watery laugh from the worker.
"Mmm."
"You okay?"
"Mmhmm."
"Get attacked by your brain suddenly?"
"...Mmmhmm."
Tera just purrs as she sits Kiara on the counter. "You want some ice cream?"
Today was Tera Doorman's sixteenth birthday. And Kiara had already gotten her best friend the best gift she could possibly think of. A red flannel shirt!
it might seem lame, and to anyone else it probably was. But Tera had been asking her parents for any new clothes they could find after she had officially transferred over to her teenager body, and now a lot of her clothes didn't fit quite right because she'd shot up like a weed! She was just as tall as Mrs. V now! Way taller then any other worker drones and especially taller then Kiara herself, a good foot taller. And she'd seen Tera eyeing it when they walked passed the shop window, like all things when it came to her best friend, she never outright said she wanted it, luckily for her she didn't need to! Kiara knew by now when Tera liked something, even when she was trying to hide it.
So she was making her way to Tera's house, gift lovingly wrapped and tucked into her backpack as they'd just got out of school. Her grey converse flattening the blue grass underneath her feet as her vents took in the fresh air. the walled little village of Sanctuary was beautiful in the spring, nestled under the thick shade of jungle canopy with flowers of every color sprouting from the tangled vine covering the circle of metallic houses that made up the colony. A Pump-Jack in the middle that thrummed each time it made it's cycle. The beating heart of town, it's lifeblood running through all of the drones that lived there.
Tera lived closer to the town gate, so that's where she was off to, the houses were stacked on top of each other. a sturdy walkway the only thing connecting the upper houses to the lower ones, she'd have to climb it. Tera's family lived right at the top, the home being slightly larger then all the others. Witch made sense, Tera's mom was the leader of the colony after all.
When she got there she rapped on the wooden door, the entire thing vibrating on it's hinges for a moment before opening wide to reveal the smiling face of Tera's father. N. Missing his signature cap at the moment, and wearing a coat that covered most of his body.
"Kiara! I was wondering when you would stop by!" He wrapped her in a crushing hug, tail wagging behind him. Kiara couldn't help but giggle at his enthusiasm. She wished her own dad was as happy to see her!
"Hi Mr.Doorman! I'm here to give Tera her birthday gift!" She greeted after he put her down. Shaking her backpack (in the visage of a mouse) gently up at him, smiling from visor seam to visor seam. N looks down at her, a slightly confused expression taking over his face.
"She's not with you? We figured you two would've come in together when she didn't show up here right after school." The same look of confusion passed over Kiara's face. Tera had told her she was headed straight home since it was the weekend, and she wanted to practice on her guitar before her parents threw her "Gotcha Day." party. It usually lasted two days or so, starting Friday evening and going on into the day Saturday. Which meant: Sleepover! (She'd already packed her pajamas!)
But if Tera wasn't here where was she?
"No. She's not with me, she said she was going straight home." She explained, confusion turned to worry on both father and best friend. N hummed, putting a finger underneath his chin. "That's odd, Tera would call us if she went somewhere..."
He was right. Tera absolutely would not lie about where she was going, if she wasn't here, something must have held her up. Maybe Rad had seen her? or more accurately, would he be the one talking her ear off about some new skateboarding trick he learned?
So she called him, not even having to scroll through her system contacts to find him, he was listed right under Tera.
It took only a single ring for him to pick up.
"Hey K. Was just on the way over to T's house for the party. Am I late or something?" His raspy, yet somehow soft voice hit her audio receptors. Well, that answered that question, she wasn't with Rad.
"Sorry, I was just calling to see if Ter-Bear was with you. But it doesn't sound like it." She sighed, forcing down the butterflies in her stomach at the sound of his voice. No time for that! Best Friend was missing!
"Nah. Not with me. Thought I saw her heading into the gym when I left, maybe she's still there?"
The gym? There wasn't any reason for her to go into the gym when school was letting out.
"Thank yooou. I'm gonna look for her, she's gonna miss her own party!" She replied, and Rad responded with a chuckle. "Maybe she went to fight someone. wouldn't be the first time." He hung up, the double beep signifying the calls end.
That was true... Tera could be described as explosive from time to time. But it was usually only in defense of her friends, not for no reason.
Well... she had been acting strange today, being a bit quieter then usual, taking more sips from her flask and being a little... moody. But Tera had assured her everything was fine! She just felt a little warm was all. But now Kiara was concerned She hoped Tera hadn't just said that to keep her from worrying.
"I'm going to check back at the school Mr. Doorman , Rad said she might still be there." She told N before beginning her decent off the walkway again. N gave her a nod and a wave. "Alright... I'll look around town, maybe she got distracted by something."
Everything Hurt.
Tera was curled up under the bleachers in the gym, holding her sides tightly, panting as she tried to cool herself off, she'd drunk every last drop of oil in her flask that was supposed to last her all week, she'd finished it in less then a day, and it still wasn't enough... nothing was enough.
Her internals were searing, sweat building on her visor as she let out a pathetic whimper. It felt like something was moving underneath her silicone, squirming like some caught prey, she felt like she was going to throw up as she felt it shift in her back.
Another wave of pain overtook her and she sunk her fangs into her own hand to stop from screaming. She was dying, she had to be, no way anything else hurt this bad.
"Tera? Are you here?" Oh no... oh no. That was Kiara's voice, she must have come looking after she didn't show up at home. This was bad, she didn't need to see her like this!
She continued to bite into her own hand to stifle her noises, praying that she could keep herself quiet and unseen long enough for Kiara to move on.
Unfortunatly, that was not happening, as Kiara moved farther into the gym, Tera could feel an unbearable pressure in her backside before-
"AHHHHHH!" She screamed, something breaking through the silicone near her legs with a sickening squelch, boiling oil hitting the floor and running down her legs as she felt something slightly squishy hit her back with a slap. "Oh fuck..."
Tera glanced behind her, a tail with a dozen purple glowing eyes looked back, covered in her own oil now dripping onto the floor.
"Tera!" the commotion led Kiara right to her, tears pricked in Tera's eyelights, from fear or pain or just being overwhelmed, she wasn't sure.
"G-Get out of here!" She begged, her mom had warned her of this of course. Of the day her wings and tail would come in. She knew what came after, the blood-lust, the hunger. "I don't wanna h-hurt you!" Her voice was strained with pain as her tail thrashed. she could feel the fleshy wings just under her casing, pushing and pushing, there wasn't anywhere else for them to go.
"Oh my god! T-Tail..." Kiara kneeled next to her, completely ignoring Tera's plea for her to go, a hand placed on her back that was oh so heavenly cold. It almost made the heat bearable... almost.
"Please... Kiara, leave me here..." She was actually crying now, tears falling unabated on the inside of her visor as she felt a growl escape her mouth, the casing covering her back suddenly fractured, causing Tera to lurch forward in pain.
"Like this? You're burning up!" Kiara exclaimed back, taken aback by Tera's new tail by only a second before she was in front of her, grabbing both sides of Tera's face and lifting it up to face her pretty white eyelights. "I'm with you Ter-Bear, tell me what you need."
The agonized drone whimpered, words failing as the sensation of cold hands touched her face. Oil she needed Oil.
There was no way in hell she was asking that of her though.
"You need oil, don't you?"
Dammit.
Tera shook her head despite her mouth watering at the thought of it, another wave of pain and she felt the wings started to break through, oil staining her tank top as parts of her casing broke off, she attempted to bite her hand again to stop the scream.
But, Kiara stopped her, grabbing her hand before it could make it to her mouth. "No no no, don't do that..." She hummed softly. "Don't hurt yourself."
"No... Hurt you. Leave..." The words were broken and under static, growling under every note. Kiara shook her head. "I'm not leaving, you won't hurt me. I know you better then that."
Kiara! This was not the time to be stubborn!
"You need oil right? I'm right here, you can take it from me." She offered, Tera's eyelights went hollow, and her mouth watered uncontrollably... the heat was so bad, she felt like she was about to pass out...
"No No No, B-Bad Idea- Bad Idea." More broken words, now more desperate.
"Your mouth is watering, it's okay. I promise..." Kiara drew closer, Tera wanted to pull away, she was trembling as the much smaller girl pulled her up to rest Tera's head into her shoulder, she could hear the oil pumping through the tubing, hell, she could smell it. "You won't hurt me." Kiara repeated again, hugging her gently.
Something snapped.
In a moment, Tera was sinking her fangs into her best friends exposed neck, causing the girl to yelp and stiffen as a brief flash of pain was registered through her system, a warning about a hull breach popped up on her visor but she quickly cleared it, stroking Tera's head.
Two things happened at once. A pair of fleshy wings erupted out of Tera's back, and she could feel Tera bite down on her neck harder in response, and... yeah it hurt. But Tera was probably in way more pain, so she did her best to not wince. Then Tera suddenly gripped her harder, she could feel oil pouring into her best friends mouth and out of her at a frightening rate. Her breath stuttered as more warnings began to arrive, she shut them out too, and stroked through a head of thick black hair instead.
"Mmmhuh... You... almost done?" She began to feel woozy, She was loosing... a lot of oil. But she still wasn't scared. Tera would stop, they would both be fine, she knew that.
Then, at her words, she heard a blessedly familiar sound erupt from Tera.
She was purring, her tail wrapping around Kiara's frame as the amount of oil she was loosing slowed to a trickle, a series of whimpers then followed, as she felt a long tongue lick up the wound until it stopped leaking, and Kiara felt herself sigh in relief, there she was...
It took a moment for Tera to register where she was and what she was doing, she pulled back, frightened by the massive bite mark she'd left on Kiara's neck, But Kiara just smiled, much more relieved that Tera was back to herself and collapsed into the taller girls chest.
“W-what just happened?” Tera asked, stammering as she blinked around in confusion, there was the taste of the sweetest oil she'd ever tasted in her mouth.
“Mmm. Aha… I'm kinda dizzy.” Kiara's voice came muffled from being buried in Tera's tank top. Followed by a tired giggle.
“Kia! I'm so sorry! I was just so hot and- Kia?” It didn't matter what she said, Kiara had fallen asleep the moment she knew Tera was okay. Curling up into Tera's lap as the purple eyed drone tried not to panic.
For the moment though… she let Kiara sleep, tail still wrapped around her frame as Tera flexed her new wings behind her with a sigh.
“You stubborn…. Ugh. I could've killed you.” She mumbled, moving some blonde hair out of Kiara's face. [Recovery Mode] reading out on her visor. But she couldn't stop the purring that came from her core. “You trust me too much.”
And yet, there they stayed, Tera stroking down Kiara's back, until Kiara recovered enough to wake back up…
A short murder drones fanfic based on @dronebiscuitbat 's characters from their rp blog, @ask-elliot-doorman-fam, Tera and Kiara, Rad is here too :P
Kiara paced around the hideout cave, nervously fiddling with her fingers. "What if she doesn't like it? What if she thinks its too cheesy? what if-" Her rant is cut off by Rad trying to calm her down.
"Kia chill, this is Tera you're talking about, sure she may be tough, but every tough person i know has a soft and squishy side that loves this stuff" He says, as he's on the couch tuning a ukulele. "So, lets go over the plan one more time before shes back from checking the perimiter"
Kiara takes a deep breath, which doesn't help much to calm her nerves, "Okay, we're here becase you are 'practicing' for the short-story musical Mr.Roseheart is hosting,"
"Which is thankfully real, couldn't think of an exuse otherwise" He adds.
"Mhm, and hopefully she'll agree to sing along, oh robo-god i hope she'll sing along, she has to for this to work" Kia was nervous about that part, Tera had a beautiful voice, but only ever sang in the privacy of her room. Hopefully the hideout would be enough to bring her out of her shell a bit, no chances of others overhearing her here.
Before Kiara could linger on that thought, there was a sudden whoosh at the entrance, meaning Tera was back. Kia rushed to a seat, put on headphones, and brought up her laptop to a blank page, pretending to be writing something. No stories would be written today, only some of her thoughts going a million miles an hour, dont screw this up please work i have to tell her.
"okay, outside is clear, so Rad, why did you bring a ukulele again?" Tera asked, as she sat down on the other side of the couch.
"Oh, you know the musical Mr.Roseheart is gonna be hosting?" Wait, did she even know about that?
"The music teacher? Uh, yeah i think I've heard about that. Isn't it about a bunch of short-stories instead of one big one? My dad seems pretty interested in going." N had seemed exited when he heard about it, even wanted to audition.
Oh thank robo-god
"Yup, a friend of mine that auditioned asked if i could help with their story, so im here to practice"
"Ok, cool"
"And i was hoping you could help."
"Oh? with what? Guitar?"
"Vocals, i struggle on my own when theres multiple characters singing"
Oh no, she did not like the sound of that.
"I am NOT going anywhere near a stage and singing, no way!" Tera growled, which made kiara more nervous.
"No no no, just for practice, only here. The only audience being Kia" Rad said, as he motioned over to where Kiara was sitting. "The part I need you to sing is basically the same line over and over a few times anyway, please?" He was looking up at her with puppy eyes, hoping to convince her.
Tera hesitated for a moment, normally she wouldn't, but in this case, it was just the three of them, no prying ears to worry about, so why not. "Ugh, fine. But if a video of this starts floating around, you're dead. whats the song?"
"Do you know the song 'Lava'?" She should, Kiara made sure to show her, hoping Tera would listen to it for this.
"That cheesy lovesong between two volcanoes? Yeah, i think Kia showed that to me a while ago"
Good, so far the plan is working "Cool, I'll be the narrator, so all you need to sing is the volcano's part. Do you know the words?"
"He basically says the same thing over and over, so yeah, whenever you're ready." Wow, Kiara was suprised, this is going a lot smoother than she thought it would.
With Tera ready, Rad began to play, and sing suprisingly well, like he's practiced before....
"A long long time ago, there was a volcano, living all alone in the middle of the sea."
"He sat high above his bay, watching all the couples play, and wishing that he had someone too."
"And from his lava came, this song of hope that he sang out loud, every day for years and years"
With her part coming up, Tera cleared her throat and began.
"I have a dream I hope will come true, that you're here with me, and I'm here with you, I wish that the earth sea and the sky up above will send me someone to lava"
"Years of singing all alone turned his lava into stone, until he was on the brink of extinction"
"But little did he know that living in the sea below, another volcano was listening to his song"
"Every day she heard his tune her lava grew and grew because she believed his song was meant for her"
"Now she was so ready to finally meet him above the sea as he sang his song of hope for the last time"
"I have a dream I hope will come true, that you're here with me, and I'm here with you, I wish that the earth sea and the sky up above will send me someone to lava"
At that part, Kiara began to remove her headphones and close her laptop, nervously making her way over behind Tera.
"Rising from the sea below stood a lovely volcano, looking all around but she could not see him"
"He tried to sing to let her know that she was not there alone, but with no lava his song was all gone"
"He filled the sea with his tears as he watched his dreams dissapear as she remembered what his song meant to her"
Tera was about to sing the next part, thinking nothing of it, until someone else began to sing, making her jump as she turned around to see Kiara.
"I have a dream I hope will come true, that you're here with me, and I'm here with you, I wish that the earth sea and the sky up above will send me someone to lava"
Tera was caught off guard, by both her singing and the fact that Kia reached out to hold her hand that was resting on the arm of the couch. Theres no way, is she....
As Tera realised what she was doing, Rad continued the song.
"Oh they were so happy to finally meet above the sea, all together now their lava grew and grew"
"No longer are they all alone with aloha as their new home, and when you visit them this is what they sing"
Tera, now holding onto Kiara's hand, hoping this wasn't a dream, continued with her.
"I have a dream i hope will come true"
"That you'll grow old with me"
"And I'll grow old with you"
"We thank the earth sea and the sky we thank too"
"I Lava you"
"I Lava you"
"I Love you"
Tera's face was all blush, lighting up the cave with a lavender glow, along with Kia's equally bright white blush. They sat there staring at eachother in awe for a minute before Kia broke the silence.
"Was that too cheesy?"
Tera stood and said, "Not at all, you weren't practicing for the musical, were you?" she asked looking over at thad.
"Nope, this was all her idea" He motioned over towards Kiara.
"So did you like it?" She asked nervously.
"I loved it" Tera said, before placing a kiss on Kia's forehead, nearly sending her into a reboot.
"Oh! I think I need to sit down" Tera sat back down, with Kia sitting next to her.
As Tera put her arm around Kiara, she let out a sigh of relief, everything went perfectly, and she couldn't be happier.
(I'm sorry in advance- this might trigger some folks. *it's also me venting a 'lil*)
Kiara lays staring at the ceiling, counting the minutes and the seconds as they tick by. It's nearly 10pm, and she should definitely be going to sleep. She has school tomorrow.
Still a quiet dread builds within her, anxiety burning within her core as another minute ticks by. The two story house is quiet, she can hear the soft breeze pushing a branch against the glass of her window, the insects and the creatures of the night calling their symphony. It should have been calming…
“Our daughter is with a freak!” Crash.
She closes her eyes at that, the quiet dread blooming into a miserable kind of acceptance that spread out from her core and into her limbs and her very fingertips.
“Our daughter is happy! Why can't you see that!” Thump.
They weren't talking about her. Rarely was there an argument about Kiara herself, she was the good girl, never acting out, never talking back, never an… incorrect type of feeling. No, they were talking about;
“It's not right Delilah! It's not right! Bennita-
“Benji! You can't even call him by his name?! If Zoey knew you were speaking this way she'd-
“Not a He! I don't give a damn what she'd say! Maybe she'll finally see reason!”
They were talking about her older sister, Zoey, who had moved out to live with her boyfriend- a boyfriend that used to be a girl. Benji.
“She'll tear you a new one! That's what she'll do. And you know that too! Otherwise you'd say it to her face!” Thunk
“It's not how we were made! She should know better, Kia knows better! We raised them better!”
She flinched at that, the words swirling around her processors like a typhoon during the wet season.
I know better… I know better.
What did she know better? That Benji was a boy? That Zoey loved him?
That… that she was supposed to like boys?
She did though, she did like boys, Rad was cute and funny, his eyes were bright and full of life. He had a wonderful singing voice… he was kind.
She did- but.
The feeling of her best freinds shirt wrapped around her body suddenly felt heavy- and not in a good way. Like it was trying to suffocate her. But if she ever tried to take it off it didn't often make the feeling better, just made her feel more alone, more confused.
She liked boys.
The grew to something even more painful, her core feeling like it was squeezing hard.
Was it wrong to look at a girl in a pretty dress and see that it was pretty? That she looked pretty?
That wasn't wrong right? It was fact… objective. Someone got dolled up and looking nice and so she takes notice -wether their in a suit or a dress.
But the pain got worse instead of better, it was making it hard to breathe. The argument downstairs grew in intensity.
“And you know the Doorman girl is too! Look at her! Look at the way she dresses, the way she acts- what kind of example is that setting?!”
She was happy she didn't hear the slur that he was referring to, she had before, but this time she'd gotten lucky.
That was about Tera.
“You are not barring her from seeing her! They're family at this point! You'll break her heart!”
The pain that was coiled in her core identified themselves, they were sobs, sobs that came out harshly as they pushed past her throat and spilled out of her mouth.
“She'll ruin her! She's already bringing stuff from that damn house home!”
A bad influence, A freak, more names she wouldn't dare even think because attaching them to her best freind felt like the worst type of slander.
Tears pricked at her eyelights, couldn't they give it a rest?! There was nothing wrong with Tera, nothing. Why couldn't he see that?
She was boyish, sure. Standoffish, most definitely. But she was so strong, and brave, and… warm. So warm, and so inviting. Willing to listen, and to understand. She was one of the kindest people she had ever known.
Was that bad…?
No…
No it wasn't bad. That's how freinds should make you feel, warm and happy.
Safe.
Freinds make you feel safe.
“Listen to me bitch! She's my daughter! I can control who she sees!”
“And you don't think Uzi will question why her daughter's closest freind suddenly doesn't want to see her?! You don't think Tera won't be able to just ask her, and her not say “Daddy won't let me see you?!”
“Fuck you!”
It… it wasn't happening. She wouldn't be stopped from seeing her. Mom wouldn't let that happen… it wasn't happening. It wasn't happening.
A pathetic whimper escaped her as she trembled with more sobs. Safe. She wanted to feel safe.
Tera made her feel safe, she'd always made her feel safe. Like nothing could ever touch her as long as she was wrapped in her arms and sheltered by those leathery wings. And she'd purr, and that was so calming; like personalized white noise.
Pain creeped into her core again- that was wrong… wasn't it?
It didn't feel wrong. But her processors began to scream and her head began to hurt.
Was it wrong to like the way Tera looked in a suit? Was it wrong to say she was handsome?
Was it wrong to think about running into her arms, to be bathed in her warmth? To hold her hand?
Was it wrong to feel that way?
Tera wasn't a boy.
She liked boys
Was she wrong? Was she damaged? Because Tera wasn't a boy.
But she liked her.
She was supposed to know better… what did that mean?
Me debating with myself to post this or to let it fester in my computer until the end of creation
Me: It's essentially PwP I can't post that.
Also Me: But it's so good! Your practice works are never usually this good!
Me: ...
Okay yeah, here's some Tera and Kiara smut.
This is NOT CANNON
It is a practice fic that ended up being really good and I peer pressured myself into posting it.
I repeat this is NOT CANNON.
Experimentation
(An Exploration on What If?)
Kiara was over at Tera's house again, she nearly lived there at this point, not even bothering to put away the extra cot anymore and just leaving it set up.
There was a reason for that though, it was probably a dumb reason, but it was a reason.
She was confused, so confused on how she felt about… everything. It was making her sleepless, frustrated. There was something different about her, something that was becoming more and more obvious.
And she'd… thought about something to confirm it.
“Tera.” She started, and the word was so quiet and nervous she was almost certain she'd have to say it again, but Tera heard it, turning from the movie they were watching to her, they were both curled up under the covers, Kiara leaning slightly on her best friend so that they could both see that laptop.
“Hm? Yeah? What's up?” Was the response, purple eyelights turning thier full attention onto white, Kiara felt the nerves build… this was a terrible idea…
“C-can you… show me what it's l-like to-to…” What kind of question was this?! This asinine plan would completely ruin their friendship, for what? To find out of she was really into girls?
“To what? Hey, don't be nervous, you can ask me anything.” Tera smiled, her hand coming down to lightly rest on her shoulder. “Nothing’s gonna make me think you're weird or anything."
Kiara somewhat doubted that.
“To be with… a girl?” She murmurs out, and she's so lucky Tera has great hearing, or maybe unlucky.
Because she blinks and immediately turns the movie off, setting the laptop somewhere on the floor. Her face looking serious.
“What?”
Kiara wants to freeze up or backtrack, maybe even run home and pray Tera would think this was some weird dream.
But she doesn't.
“I-I just. I've been so….c-confused, and-and you're the only one I trust to… do this with. And understand why…” She stammers, her core feeling like it's pounding she's so nervous.
“Confused? About?” The expression painted on Tera's face is not one of disgust, but of concern, her hand reaches down to hold and squeeze her own, butterflies flutter in her chest.
“Dad says I'm… supposed to like boys.” She's never said this out loud before, it feels… good, to let it out.
“You like Rad, don't you?” Tera offers, and Kiara appreciates what she's trying to do.
“I… do. But I-I… I think I feel that way about girls too…” She blushes, it feels so much more real now that it's not just a thought in her head.
“Oh…” Tera smiles, however she feels about it, she doesn't let it show externally. “That's okay, you can feel that way. There's nothing wrong with that.”
Kiara feels herself relax a little at those words, like she needed permission from someone that it was okay. But she wasn't done.
“B-but I'm not s-sure if I do! that's why… I wanna do this.” She explains slowly. “If I… experience it with a girl. With you, then I'll know…”
At this, her best friend gulps.
“There are less… extreme ways to figure yourself out.” She points out softly, it's not judgmental, and she does move closer.
“I know! It's just… I think it's gonna be the thing I need to understand. I don't think just a k-kiss is going to help me…”
She watches her best freind parse this information, taking a shaky breath.
“I'm not- I'm not saying no. I'm just…this is really intimate… and I don't want you to feel uncomfortable around me if… if you decide it's not what you want.” She replies, it's like she's forcing the words out.
“That's why I came to you… I trust you. And I know no matter w-what… you'll always be my best freind.”
“Of course I will be.” Tera nods softly, and there's a moment of silence.
“Okay.” It's almost a whisper. “We can.”
Kiara feels her core jump at that, she'd almost expected the answer to be no. For the first time in almost the entire conversation, they make eye contact, Tera pulls her up to embrace her.
“But you need to tell me if you start to feel uncomfortable, okay? We can use the color system…” She hums, she's carding through platinum blonde hair and it's such a nice feeling Kiara closes her eyes.
“Color s-system?”
“Mmhm, Green means keep going, Yellow means pause, Red means stop entirely.” Tera explains, she's adjusting them, laying her down softly while she sits near her legs.
“How do you know that?” Kiara asks, and Tera chuckles nervously as she comes to straddle her hips. “I'm… stronger then every other worker drone here, I wanted my partner to be safe with me… if I ever got one.”
“Oh…”
This was literally what Kiara had asked for… Tera above her, sitting straddled over her hips as she's held down by her best freinds strong, scarred hands. Her tail already slinking up to wrap around her leg.
Her expression was focused, nervous- but mostly determined. Her grip was steadying, like it always was.
“Are you sure you want to do this? There are other ways to… find out.” She asks, she's making sure Kiara is comfortable, she's always doing that. And Tera's hand runs lovingly down the rungs of her leg, she feels her chest tighten in response and an almost dizzying feeling invade her processors.
“Y-yeah. I wanna-I wanna know. I want to know what it's l-like.”
“It doesn't have to be with me.” Tera's voice is nearly a whisper, rough and grating- but soothing, Kiara smiles.
“I want it to be…”
Tera nods slowly, her tail tightens around her leg, and her hands begin moving, exploring her lower body, scraping the tips of her claws across the emaculate metal.
Her core pounds, it's like a live wire hooked directly into her inputs, something completely breathless escapes her throat, and Tera looks surprised, before she smiles softly.
“I'm not sure anyone else is going to have claws Kia.” She hums, leaning down farther, her weight pressing down on her, she's trapped; but it's where she wants to be.
And she can't bring herself to respond either, not with that warmth and those eyes peircing into her, like Tera could see into her very core. All she can do instead is whine softly when the sensation suddenly stops.
“Color.” Tera hums, hands falling to squeeze lightly at her hips- and she feels lightheaded.
“G-Green. K-keep going.” It takes everything in her for that not to sound like begging.
And so she continues, claws now lightly scraping up and down her arms, as she hears the girl purr gently above her, shivers of delight climb up every rung until they make contact with her core; another, muted breathy noise is dragged out of her mouth.
Her best freind grabs her hand, thumbing a circle into it as she leans down, hot breath tickling her neck that had her swallowing in anticipation, Tera was close enough now to feel her radiating body heat, to hear her breaths that were shaky yet steady and grounding.
Lips make contact with the metal, and immediately something warm blooms from the area, Tera's hand in hers interlock with her fingers as chaste kisses are placed up and down her neck and jaw, the subtle feeling of fangs brushing against thin tubing- and she can't keep her eyes open anymore, her eyes close as a blistering tounge is pressed against her cold plating.
“Mmh~” She squirms, heat beginning to bloom out from her core in a way she was unfamiliar with, And the breathy laugh that escapes the woman on top of her only made it hotter.
“You're so sensitive…” She murmurs, and then she's right back to it, kissing and licking up and down the metal, until her fangs are scraping down her neck and she shudders at the way electricity seemed to spark between every contact.
When she pulls back she's breathing more heavily, chest rising and falling as the lungs she's been given by the solver supplemented her overworked fans.
She's hovering over Kia's face, hesitant to close the gap between them. It made sense… they had never kissed before.
It was probably extremely weird that they were in this moment without having done that before. But until about a hour ago, doing anything like this had seemed completely impossible. To both of them.
“K-kiss me… please.” Kiara mouths, and it surprises the both of them. Tera gains a violet fluster that's so… so cute, her hand rises to cup her cheek, thumbing over the seam of her visor and then- licks her lips.
Watching it takes her breath away, and takes everything else when their lips meet.
She tastes vaguely of oil, which was to be expected, but Kiara found it strangly addicting. Tera's lips moved against her own in ways that had her breathing coming out in pants. She tried to keep up- to copy her movements; and she got louder purring in response.
After a moment, Tera pulls back, head resting on her forehead with a glazed over look in her eyes, Kiara's hand moves to her chest, she can feel Tera's core beating almost out of her chest.
She wants more…
Kiara leans forward to press their lips together again and she can feel the woman above her tense before melting, pressing deeper into her. A tongue swipes at her lip, requesting entrance, and Kiara doesn't even hesitate for a moment before opening her mouth to accept the intrusion.
Tera holds her tighter as her long tongue invades her mouth, she's genuinely caught off gaurd with how long it is, but can't help the groan that leaves her when it presses and pulls against her own tongue. Kiara buries one of her hands in soft black locks, bringing her in deeper.
Tera makes a low groan when she accidentally pulls on her hair; and so she does it again slightly harder, in response, she feels sharp fangs prick her lip and a low growl escape from her best freind. and they pull back again.
They're both panting, a string of saliva leaves breaks between them and Kiara feels the heat in her visor increase at the sight of her best freind looking over her hungerly, fangs bared as her mouth was slightly open.
When she leans back in, the kiss is different, desperate and sloppy as she feels hands begin to slide down the back of her dress, trying to find a zipper. Kiara flushes, something hot beginning to burn through her as she pulls off flannel and throws it to the floor. She feels Tera's tail coil and vibrate around her leg as it attempted to wag but had nowhere to go.
Tera finds the zipper and pulls, and she feels her dress loosen around her figure, her breath hitches as she goes from her lips being assaulted to her neck again, transforming from kisses to nipping and sucking.
“Tera~” She moans when she bites particularly hard, sending embarrassed butterflies and burning heat into her core as she feels Tera react to her name, a low groan leaves the solver drones mouth and she shudders.
“C-color?” Tera breaths against sensitive plating, and Kiara feels the room spin.
“Green, please~”
Her dress begins to come off, Tera pushing it down farther and farther until it's down around her ankles and hitting the floor… Kiara attempts to cover herself out of habit, but Tera is smiling down at her.
“Don't hide yourself… you're beautiful.” She hums and pins both her hands back above her head, the free hand tracing down the slight raise of her chest and down the rubber midsection before she begins another round of searing kisses all over her exposed body, savoring every single moment, every sound and every taste.
Kiara can't breathe, all she can feel are the little shocks of pleasure every time those lips make contact with a different part of her body, the lingering thought that this was only a way to prove her sexuality was tossed squarely out the window- this was for them, both of them.
Kiara struggles to pull the last peice of clothing off Tera, the tank top tight fitting. But she eventually manages with a little help from the girl herself; it exposes the patchwork of scars that litter her body, some only hairline, others garish black marks that went down along porcelain white.
With them both exposed, there's a lull in movement as they took each other in, Kiara knew Tera had a lot of scars, but she had more then she had anticipated, she reached for one that swiped across her core, scraping her finger against blackened silicone.
Tera whimpered and twitched as the scar was handled, something that had been entirely foreign so far, emboldened, Kiara's hands began to roam over all of them, tracing the marks in reverence.
“Kia~” Her name falls out of her mouth like she was sitting in church, and Kiara feels her mouth go entirely dry, a smile making it's way to her face.
“You're… sensitive too.” Kiara hums, hand resting on her shoulders as she laughs, she doesn't expect Tera to pull her up into her lap, hands running across her back and through her hair.
Tera starts by softly pressing the glass covering of her core with her own, and both of them buck their hips at once at the contact, the friction amplifying the feeling.
“Oh god~ hah~” Kiara really didn’t expect the feeling to be that overwhelming. Her body trembled as Tera rolled her hips so that there cores would make contact again, the jolt was just as dizzying the second time.
“F-fuck…” Tera moaned, the strength and confidence she'd displayed thus far melting away into vulnerability, she buried her head into Kiara's shoulder as Kiara did the same.
“More~ please~ ah-” Kiara begged, her core was throbbing with need, mouth stuck open as gasps escaped them.
“Mm~ Yeah…” Tera mumbled back, setting a gentle rhythm with her hips as they clacked together, cores glowing brighter and brighter each time they rubbed together. It felt so good.
Kiara found her hand grabbing at the base of Tera's tail, pulling it firmly and stroking it in time with every grind of their hips.
“Oh*!*~ F-fuck Kia! Mmph!~ N-not there! ah~”
But she didn't stop her, instead her head went back as she gasped and moaned in pleasure as Kiara played with her tail, the rhythm beginning to be lost for the sake of more friction.
All she could think about was more more, oh god please more.
She felt Tera reach behind her, trembling with ecstasy as a particularly loud moan broke through the cacophony of pleasured sounds, along with a small click of a hatch opening. A port being exposed above Tera's core.
With another few sloppy grinds, Kiara yelped out in pleasure and her hatch opened as well, and Tera finally stopped with a shudder.
Clasped in Tera's hand was a linking cable, stiff from never being used before, her breath came out in pants.
“Color?” She asks breathlessly, hand trembling as she barely holds herself back.
Kiara grabbed the receiver end, running her hand along the cable before she plugged it into herself.
“So Green. I need you~”
Tera shivers at that, groaning as she hesitates for only a moment, a settings menu being visible on her visor.
“W-what-?”
“Firewall… we don't want to risk… you know.” Tera breathed out, a reassuring smile on her face. “I'm just updating them quickly… I never thought this would happen so their outdated…”
Kiara smiled, Tera was always thinking ahead no matter what. The update finished quickly, and Tera breathed out a shaky nervous breath. “Brace yourself.”
She plugged the donor end into herself, and they both froze as code mixed and sensations bled together, Kiara fell backwards and Tera fell with her, the sensation of melding systems being almost enough to send them both into reboot.
Kiara was hit with the most powerful feeling of love she'd ever felt. It was like the bulk of Tera's code was made of it. Tears came into her eyes as she finally- finally understood, it was like everything perfectly clicked into place.
I love you, I love you, I love you.
It was being written in the empty spaces of her code, being felt in her processors, being proven in her core.
I love you, I love you, I love you
It was being streamed from the universe, from the ocean of purple code, from the core of her best freind.
I love you too.
She wrote back, not just once, but over and over and over again, hands interlocked and lips made contact as every internal and external feeling was amplified to it's utter maximum.
“Kia… Kia! KIA! AHG~!” Tera’s voice broke through independently from their conjoined systems, working up to an overload that would undoubtedly bring them both into a soft reboot.
“Tera!~” Kiara felt an explosion of junk data enter her core, broken up by the firewall to be rendered unusable by her own system, but that didn't matter, it was still an intense amount of data that she simply couldn't deal with.
With a shuddering final moan, she shut off, Tera following a split second after as they both collapsed in a heap.
_
Tera was the first to come back online, groaning as her limbs felt fuzzy and her head felt like lead, she was laying on something cool and smelled like fresh linens.
She sat up as much as she could before a wire trapped her in, and she blinked.
Oh. Oh that wasn't a dream, that really just happened.
“Kiara?” She asked, lifting up the girls visor to see the overload error. She sighed in relief and slowly unhooked them, throwing the linking cable haphazardly back into her nightstand drawer.
She wrapped herself around the smaller figure, pulling her into her chest and resting her head on tip of hers, she had a feeling that when she woke up, they would be having another conversation, but for now it was best to enjoy this moment.
Tera kissed the top of her Forehead, purring in contentment, she knew why…
Being in love with your best freind is something everyone says is the goal. The best and wisest choice, the experience of a lifetime even.
Kiara could believe that. If Tera didn't spend every waking moment teasing her relentlessly.
When she woke up she'd be curled around her like a warm, silicone pillow. And she'd be lost in the feeling until Tera suddenly was blowing a raspberry on her neck and running away giggling before Kiara could inact consequences.
When she was making her morning gasoline and Tera would help her. She would hold the mug above the worker drone, out of reach and watch her go through increasingly elaborate positions to try and reach while smiling with a shit eating grin.
She'd only give it back if Kiara paid the "Kiss Tax" of which then the mug was placed securely in her hand.
She'd be jumped in the middle of the day while cleaning, being carried over Tera's shoulder to the couch and be kissed everywhere Tera could reach while Kiara tried helplessly to get back to what she was doing until she gave up and went limp.
She was shown so many memes at every waking moment, especially if Tera was out of patrol or in town. Usually of cats.
She would sit down at the table to hear a whoopie-cushion go off, and Tera would cackle even though Drones didn't create gas and it made very little sense.
Tera was still herself. Like she'd always been in thier long friendship. Trying to get a rise out of Kiara and make the worker drone laugh- or smack the shit out of her, whichever came first.
Everything else. The kisses, the intimate nights, the kids, the gifts. They were additions, lovely little cherries atop an already perfectly sweet pie.
