amy dyer and jem walker start dating and they are ultimate lesbian fashion goals. jem is butch goth, she impulsively cuts off her ponytail one day and embraces wearing dark clothes, burning her HVF uniform and occasionally stealing her brother’s clothes. amy is super femme and colourful, bouncing into jem’s life and taking her on spontaneous dates, attempting to cook and bake for her with disastrous results, but jem appreciates it and amy loves doing anything that’ll make her smile. after a while, jem starts adding tiny bits of colour to her outfits, pink pom pom earrings, little badges and brooches, borrowing amy’s clothes and loving little gifts from her gf. jem explains how she can be feeling happy and still love dressing dark and wearing thick eyeliner, but amy teases her about how she’s wearing a rainbow pin amy bought her. kieran is the most supportive brother bless him but he also teases the hell out of them 😭😭👌
