We are very lucky to welcome Jemma Jones, Faraz Shibli and Ed Augustin to ORA at Yarnton Manor today. Together they make up a varied programme which will provide a thought-provoking afternoon for all. Here is some more information about each of the speakers:
Faraz Shibli is an international development professional, barrister and writer. He practised human rights law in London before moving to Mongolia to work for the UN. He is a contributing author to a travel guide on Mongolia and in 2011 became the youngest Briton to cross the Gobi Desert on foot.
Jemma Jones is one of our teachers at Oxford Royale Academy, teaching on the Broadening Horizons Archaeology and Anthropology course. She is currently studying for a PHd at Southampton University and will be speaking on the greatest invention ever made.
Ed Augustin is a journalist and documentary filmmaker. For the last three years he has lived in Havana, Cuba, where he has made films for Telesur, Deutsche Welle and The Guardian. He is currently the Cuba correspondent for the international news channel France 24.
