you might be able to find a used volt / similar form-factor hybrid or somethin. When we were car hunting recently we learned a few things. One is that you can lease a car from a dealership. Another is that dealerships often have loaner vehicles that they retire around 2k miles. Both those formerly leased and the loaner cars are often sold as used cars, at a lower price, but with more of the factory warranty intact than a standard used car.

The thing is though I think the Volts like, actually have an improvement on mileage in the 2019 model? Like, I like that it drives a bit more sporty, although I don’t necessarily NEED that. But I don’t actually like its size, I think preferably.. I’d... want like a subcompact SUV or a crossover (am I using these words correctly lmao). Not necessarily because I’m going to be carrying a lot of stuff; it’s just... nicer? to drive big car?

I knew about the leasing thing, but I was kind of like... I feel like if I’m going to be paying for a car, I’d want to just. have. the car?

I guess if I’m not getting an EV or PHEV then I could lease, bc the federal tax credit wouldn’t really make a difference then....

I just bought a Ford Fusion at the beginning of the year, newish for around 20k. It’s in my budget and gets way better gas mileage than my last one. The next car is going to be a Tesla, tho, so I get the impulse.

lol I was suggested a Tesla and like. I am not getting a Tesla :’) for one thing, I can’t commit to an all-electric vehicle. For another, I don’t like the subjective vibe I get from Teslas :’)

and yeah I don’t drive a super whole lot rn but I do want something newer and with better mileage.

Yeah, I lived in Ohio for 4 years and my twin and his family live in Ohio now, and ... yeah >_>
