of all the topics to come to, jisoo certainly hadn’t anticipated this.

afternoon tea’s reserved for the two of them in an obscure café downtown, hours passing like seconds in the time it takes for them to get their drinks and make small talk.  in the absence of cameras and scrutinizing gazes she’s let her guard down- now she’s not too sure if it was the right choice.

“what?” laughter’s instinctual- the first line of defense to cover up the mix of bewilderment and confusion crossing her features.  for once she can’t decide whether the comment’s meant to be taken seriously.  the straw drawn between her fingers prods the bottom of the glass with a little more force than necessary. in the end she surrenders with a grin, shoulders hunched forward and voice lowered to a playful whisper.  

“who? is he cute?  have you got a secret to share with me, dear jenniebean?”
