Reposted from @jennjevons (@get_regrann) - I’m thrilled to share work from a shoot I did with Casey last month, currently featured in the Bello Magazine November issue. We wanted to create a gritty and ever-so-slightly unhinged narrative for this photo series, so Casey suggested we venture out of the city. We drove to Port Hope; the quaint town were Derry, Maine was recreated to film scenes from Stephen King’s It & It Chapter Two. It was a long day. Hours of driving, lots of walking and sneaking into alleyways & courtyards, chasing after light and hunting down familiar spots, wardrobe changes, laughter and eye rolls, quoting songs lyrics, a long lunch and a quick dinner and we were done. Oh, and there were salmon. Lots of salmon fighting their way up stream to spawn. Spending the day away from all the usual distractions allowed a sense of time and space I don’t usually have when shooting. I’m really proud of this editorial - it was a breakthrough for me professionally. Many thanks to my co-collaborator Casey Deidrick for trusting me, believing in me, and being totally present and in this moment with me. If you’re still reading, thank you.
