From my animation pitch a while back. 

There's a quote among photographers that goes: "Going up to a photographer and saying 'nice camera' is like going up to Van Gogh and saying 'that's a nice brush.'"

As someone who does both, I wholeheartedly disagree.  No you do not have to render details, shade, use guides for perspective or mix colors. Shut the fuck up you twat.
