how did u think of nelos quirk? I can tell you put a lot of thought into it! I've always wanted to make a bnha oc but I can never think of quirks and I don't want to copy 1 from the manga/anime cuz basically every1 has their own unique quirk?? of course some are very similar (tetsutetsu and kirishima) but they are still different!! I've never seen people with the exact same quirk so it's just super hard deciding on a unique quirk like u did! I rambled but basically I'm asking do u have any tips?

I actually came up with the base of his quirk quite quickly! I knew since he was a vampire I wanted his quirk to be blood related, yet he wouldn’t suffer from extreme bloodlust since he’s only half. After I figured that out I just thought of different aspects and things he could do and obviously added drawbacks to make his power less OP.
I guess my tip would be find some characteristic of your character and build upon that for example if your chara really likes animals they’re quirk could be summoning different animal familiars or something. Then just work out the details from there. Like summoning a lot of small familiars is easier than one big one or they only last for like 10 minutes( this is a really bad example tho)
I don’t think it’s bad if there similarities to the original characters cause that can be a gateway to them being friends! (If u ever have them interact together) like Nelo’s ability is like bloodbending from ATLA or like Kuriyama Mirai’s in behind the boundary!! It’s like a mix of all of them hehe.
