ooohh i see, have u checked if maybe ur uni has a chinese language course? like an elective or smth? idk where ur from so i cant elaborate but ik a lot of unis let u pick a language at the same time as doing ur course so maybe they do too? like esp since ur doing linguistics now it'll match really well together!! i wish u well young one uwu

yep yep i have to take at least 2 language study courses to fulfil my degree requirements!! unfortunately i can’t take them this year bc the lectures clash with another linguistics course, but i’m hoping i can take chinese next year ^^

im trying to learn chinese since i’m half-taiwanese but im not great at it lmao!!! i’m def not fluent enough to be considered bilingual. my mom can speak both chinese and english and several hakka dialects, so it would be totally fascinating to study it with her in mind!!
